FPS report intel 2600k / 580gtx

Asus P8P67 Deluxe Motherboard
Intel Sandy Bridge 1155 i7 2600k quadcore @ 3.4ghz
8gig DDR3 @ 1600mhz Coasir RAM
3tb Hitachi HDD @ 6gig/sec
Asus 580gtx 1.5gig DDR5 Nvidia
Antec 1200w PSU OC edition
Antec 1200 tower with additional 120mm fan side mount
Windows 7 64bit Pro

All stock speeds, no overclocking

ALL settings max ASSO (i think thats what its called) is OFF
Resolution 1900x1080

Diving with fixed view position over london it drops to around 70fps
If I use free look with the mouse it drops to about 50-60, and if I jerk left to right as fast as I can it drops to about 20

Diving and dogfight over english channal remains above 100fps up to 120. Free look with mouse is about 80fps, and jerking left to right fast drops to about 45.

The game at these settings running this smooth preforms well beyond my expectations, and I am very satisfied. I am really looking forward to more performance increase's for other players because everyone should really be able to experience this game at these settings, although I'm sure not everyone will.

My rig was built in anticipation for Battlefield 3, but CoD is definatly staying installed.

I will add a 30 second clip taken by fraps, recorded at 60fps. Fraps reports the frame rate on the video, but it differs from the report above slightly because its external view. I will try to get some other video's uploaded soon as well.

Salute!

I'd suggest running the BlackDeath track with Fraps recording the FPS rate

GOZR 04-20-2011 11:48 PM

The secret weapon Resolution 1900x1080 and not 1920x1200 ;) But great to see that and you enjoy the sim..

I have the same experience, except that over cities I rarely have below 30fps.
22 is the lowest but only for 1-2 sec.
I can dogfight over cities between 40-65 fps.
All settings very high SSAO off.

The Black Death track runs smooth on my rig.. Should be relatively similar on his.. although he should be up around 4 Gig with that CPU at a minimum.

The game with your system better run good dude, it is absolute top of the line right now. How much did it set you back? At least 1.5k$ I reckon. You cannot honestly expect everyone to get a rig like this. Mind me, my system which I started building especially to run this game isn´t shoddy either, but we can hardly use the fact we upgraded to the latest and greatest as a benchmark for the state this game is in.

p.s. I wouldve gotten the 2500k instead of the 2600k, more bang for buck since Hyperthreading isn´t supported by any game in the market these days :P

Typo, 1920x1080 I have fat finger syndrome; as that is my monitors preferred resolution. 23" samsung

It only dipped in FPS when jerking the mouse on free look from one extreme to the other. Other than that its pretty solid.

The Black Death track
Never heard of it...

The CPU actually will throttle up or down automatically to be as efficient as possible, I think it will go up to 3.8ghz on its own when needed, but I've never broken 50% cpu load with any game maxed, while surfing and media player going.

This took a large portion of savings to do, considering my last rig was way out of date, and many of the games ahead I look forward to it just couldn't run. I bought this with the mind of not having to upgrade any time soon.

2500k wasn't on the market when purchased, but even now I still would have gone with the 2600k.

Very interesting, my system is slightly older than your's and 2GB less memory, but when i fly over london (max settings) @ 1k feet my fps are around 18-22..
Is the Sandy Bridge really that much better ?

My system:
Core i7 920 @ 4GHz
6GB 1600MHz DDR3
Geforce GTX 580 1.5GB
WDC Caviar Black 1TB 7200 rpm
Windows 7 64-bit

At Lympne airfield and some time at Dover or other cities but only the first time I load a mission I see many flattend houses...

Look right under the plane aft fuselage. FPS more than OK!

Have a nice game.

I very much doubt it. The game code is yet to be fully optimized. Your system should be as fast, or very close to as fast, in a perfect world.
