Hotas warthog help

ok so i have the warthog setup, get into game, only a few of the controls are working my hat switch works looking round ok.
But my weapons wont fire, so i go into controls option, change my machine guns to my gun trigger on my joystick, and change some other things a well
save it, return to game, and nothing, so i go back to controls menu, and theve change back to default again
If there any warthog users in here, can you send me your control config file for the warhog, so i can test it

Have you also clicked "Apply"? This stumped me until I figured out that you just apply every key change then save it as a backup.

I feel quit stupid now, i was forgetting to click apply in controls menu lol

I did a clean install of steam and Cod, then did this
1) Browse to your game folder and find the folder 'redist'.

I found mine here :C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\redist
Reinstall everything in that folder direct x, net framwork4, and anything else
and i then did this
Go to 'conf.ini' and change 'Render=D3D10_0' to 'Render=D3D9_0
Then i restarted my computer, and the rest is history, i was in
performance isnt great, but im sure the patches will sort that out...

Thanks for the heads up with the steam cloud;)
regards
josh

Doc: why was it necessary to into the conf.ini files just to bind controls to Warthog?
I am going to use mine for the first time when COD arrives and was interested in your experience. Any other issues?
