Any way to turn Arrows off but still KEEP the aircraft info?

Hi,

Is there a setting where you can turn off the Arrows but still have the info about the aircraft (distance, colour and type etc...)?

There can be so many arrows on screen and I find it distracting. I would like to keep the Aircraft info tho for now until I get more skilled.

Yes please..

Arrows make it too easy, but without plane icons it's too hard to tell friend from foe..

That's the idea.

Google "Battle of Barking Creek"

I recall in the original Il-2 there were settings in the Config file that you could modify what was and wasn't visible on the aircraft ID markers. I seem to remember being able to turn them down to simple red and blue boxes, with nothing else on them, but I would have to check.

There might be similar settings in the Cliffs of Dover Config file.

Yes, that is entirely helpful and solves the problem at hand, of where the settings are stored in Cliffs of Dover.

On the other hand, unlike most early releases, Google doesn't point directly back to the post, and the quotes from the manual are a stitch:
NOTE: Unlimited ammunition may confuse computer-controlled pilots. If you hand over controls to AI control with Limited Ammo disabled, they’ll think it’s Christmas. Especially if they’re carrying bombs.

To quote another sourse: Oh look, more bombs.

That said, the manual does not seem to contain anything on the detailed config settings.
