Changes in original maps?

Hi, does anyone know which IL version has reduced the amount of sea in hawaii map? I noticed some of the older campaigns have waypoints that lead out of the map bounds. Personally, I liked the map with a bit of extra room for naval battles. Can anything be changed manually to add some more space around the islands?

Was the plane icon allways seen on the map

If there is only sea around, you just can edit the waypoints in the .mis file.

You can set a pack of waypoints for your targets far out of the maps borders, but you have no controll about your position whatsoever if you dont accurately describe the navigation towards the target in the briefing.

I did this on other maps with entire airfields.

I can see my waypoints at the beginning of the mission but they lead me off the map's edge. I am positive this was not the case a couple of versions back because they've cut out some of the sea around hawaii. Does anyone know in which version this happened?

EDIT: My bad. The original maps were never altered. The cause of the problem is the hawaii reskin I am using as a standalone map. Somehow the author of the reskin made the map area smaller in editor and in game map. How?

EDIT2: It seems that the repaint was missing some ini entries, thus making the sea around the map smaller. I corrected the problem by adding missing entries.
