Im stuck on the second mission. The aliens just eat through my ships no matter what I do. Am I missing something or should i just shelve this game.

second mission? I think you mean that in caebos ... so in the sector before hire some mercs (you need the money for them two times, so think of this) and if you're fighters can get missles take ht4-erasers with you to attack the alien friggate, me helped this
