anyone play this anymore on xbox live
 

I finally picked up this title and cant seem to find anyone playing online. Whenever I do quick game it says "The IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey server is not available at this time. Please try again later". Being a huge fan of the pc game I have been looking forward to the console version but was hesitant to pick it up when it first came out. My pc took a dump on me so I went ahead and picked it up but I must be to late cause it seems that no one plays anymore. Is this the case or is the problem on my end. If this is the case is there anyone out there who would like to play? If so my gamertag is bhuber

No dedicated server, the player sets the session and when you search you will o0nly find games that haven't started. The best solution is to add regular players to your friends list. You will see who is on line and playing BOP, just a case of comms and waiting for the game to become joinable or ask them to send you an invite. I play regularly, mainly SIm and the occaisional Realistic game level...add my gamer tag if useful. Where are you located?

I just started playing online and after an initial experience like you had I kept at it and met a couple of people who run games nightly and now have no problems. Just a matter of getting finding some regular players. Add me Lost Apiarist if you like.

I will be on realistic and sim, depending on who is on.
