Most people are in party chat....or just dont want to talk, get some friends invites sent from on here should cure this.

4. What is a 'ranked match' and how is it different to a 'player matched'?

Ranked matches count towards the leader boards and you cant invite friends in, players matches dont count to LB's and you can invite friends.

5 Where can I get info on how to add and look out for other members using the 'Friends' facilty.

There are 2 main ways, the first is you find someones gamertag (like mines King Jareth) and then add it from your friends list. the second is you find someones name from the scoreboard/pregame lobby and theres a button to view their gamercard, this should have an option on for "send friend request" (you can also do this from your previous players list

Isn't it weapon loadout? You mean the one with M/C/B1/R2 etc?

If that's the one you mean it shows what weapons they've equipped:
M - machinegun(s)
C - cannon(s)
Bx - bomb(s) [the x may be not there or a number]
R - rockets [can't recall if this can have a number or not]

That just gives you basic information though. If you want more detail (e.g. are they packing 100kg or 1000lb bombs?), highlight the player and look at the bottom left of the screen.

I think there should be points for not crashing, taking damage and inflicting damage. Also, some players take damage and just respawn immediately by nosediving......should have a points deducted count for each respawn (am I taking this too seriousley? bad loser me :)). Anyway, I have now unlocked the MkIX spit so should get a better hit rate than with my poor old Mk2 which is tough to compete with against the later planes that most use on-line.............:evil:

the Spit MkIX is a nice bird to fly. You can also unlock the Spit XVI for getting 100 kills online with any spitfire. Its a nice bird to. But the better pilots tend to stick with the IX.

Many of the issues you address will be updated in the patch, which is released very shortly so try not to wory to much.

Though an insider tip......

use the hawker hurricane, its the best fighter plane in the game. Practically unstoppable in her. She will look after you. Anyone tells you otherwise.... ignore them, they are lying to you lol ;) :P :D

Back on topic: about the points deducting, after the update there'll be deduction for suicide, but if they crash after taking damage they won't be 'charged'.

Thanks for the tip on the Hurricane, wished I'd known that earlier. I spent two hours trying to shoot German bombers at Night so that I could move on to the mission that unlocks the MkIX. Strangely enough, its easier to do on Realistic than Arcade as there aren't as many formations.......ah well, I have two decent birds to try later and great news about the scoring to be changed when the update is released....:grin:.
