While I was viewing the new planes on the site I noticed this:

Not anymore. The game has now been bumped up to Sept 2nd.

A couple of days ago I started a thread begging for a confirmed release date. Nike-it finally confirmed the 9/8/09 US release and closed the thread. NOW a few days later I check the forum to find people freaking out about a new September 2 release...

I JUST took a day off of work September 8th so I can play Bop all day

I think this thread was created for morons, ...just my opinion. :|

It's 4th Sept for UK (according to various stores). Hopefully Game will deliver on the 3rd - I don't pre-order games that often, but when I have, thy have always turned up a day earlier :grin:
I guess they post them early to ensure it arrives by release date.

It was posted to clear things up for those who don't know or aren't sure.

still weird all this speculation about 2nd september while its confirmed its the 8th?

I know, I'm not sure now. Gamestop wouldn't change a date this close to release unless they were directly informed or something.

You also have to remember that the U.S. tends to get games first.

Yeah still its kinda weird.
And the Us thing, this time it seems the EU seems to be the main release date.

But yea last time the date dropped on gamestop it also seemed to be right, so who knows.

I was already satisfied with the 8th since I no longer had to suffer 11 days while watching you guys.

You guys were in the war before we were. It would make sense for us to get it second anyway lol.

Well i pre-ordered somewhere so i'll be getting the game late anyway.

There is no way Gamestop would change the date on a title with such a huge following unless they had some direct information. It makes sense considering the EU gets it on the 4th.

I just received an update via text from Gamestop indicating that they currently have my IL-2 pre-order shipped and that I can pick it up tomorrow (Thursday the 3rd).

WHAT THE HELL MAN!! I just called gamestop and a girl answered i asked her if they have yet to recieve it and she askes me to hold....goes back and her boss told me that it was moved back to the 8th....theen i saw this thread (not looking at the dates) and just shit my pants.....:mad: haha dude you about gave me a heart attack!:grin:

I was reassured a few mins ago that its still the 2nd.....that was a rough couple of mins

Have no fear, I called before going over to my local Gamestop. And the guy on the phone said they were all sold out, which I thought "WTF, how is that?" So I decided to take a little trip down to my local Gamestop, and spoke with another guy, who said that they were shipped today, and my copy (AND T-SHIRT!!!) would be there tomorrow. Luckily I have tomorrow and the rest of the week off... None stop BoP Extravaganza Weekend!!! :cool:

I had asked for 9/8 off since it was the "confirmed" AHEM release date. I end up with a four day weekend because of labor day...

I will be on both. But obviously not at the same time :P I'll probably space the times between the two out, see which console has the better competition :cool: (Arrogance is so nice :P:rolleyes:)
