things you would like to see in a patch

1. some changes to the physics model allowing the plane to stay intact with crash landings and belly landings at lower speeds.

here is an example video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm_gh...e=channel_page

2. re mapping the trimmer to the ace edge flight stick on an available space.

3.making ground targets a bit more visible, done by either dust effects for the tanks and smoke effects for the guns. the flash is good , but we need something that will linger a bit so we can effectively kill them.

4.the ability to switch the throttle function to the left stick and the flight function to the right stick.

5. Somehow add the p51 cockpit back in , i have been noticing alot of people complaining about it on other forums

Saturat 08-01-2009 02:09 PM

a wider angle of vision when in cockpit because it feels claustrophobic. really easy to change I think.

haitch40 08-01-2009 02:55 PM

1 thing i would like
i have heard reports of enemy planes randomly crashing so id like that eliminated

jt_medina 08-01-2009 03:07 PM

Replay mode( like in IL2).
Mission editor.
Better damage and physics model.

G M 08-01-2009 04:59 PM

I've created an account just to agree with you on point 4!
I'm not going to get the game if you can't change it.
I agree with your other points too, also not been able to turn your engine on/off and not been able to fly under the peer at Dover (now I'm just been picky)
I also notice on realistic mode WEP lasts for as long as you want it to.

Kind of a big deal if you've ever flown rc airplanes, relearning this backwards just sucks.

That's actually a really good idea

From what I've read on the web quite a few people arent. This is why public betas are always a good thing.

Agreed.
Also if you are like me you would use your right hand for a joystick, so controlling with the left stick is just wrong in my opinion

The only stuff I'd like to see in a patch, but not in a DLC are black/red outs, turret view, and co-op(if possible).

When you say turret view do you mean switching from flying the plane to a turret?

I mean by seeing a first person view of the turret.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember reading that there is only going to be third person view of the turret(I could be wrong and I hope I am).

Anton?

WOW i dribbleing at the thought of fp turrets

Dave1978 08-01-2009 06:21 PM

ONly the one thing for me and thats re-mapping the controls. The controls on Over-G are perfect and this game needs to be the same.

The rudder needs to be on the triggers, throttle on the shoulder buttons. This leaves the right stick for looking around and not having to fumble around and click down on, also eliminates throttle mistakes when trying to look around.

That is the only reason why I am getting a stick.

yes, Over G's controls were pretty good, but I'm happy with BoP controls if the sticks were round the other way. I do agree about the looking around though.

BadKarmaSutra96 08-01-2009 07:08 PM

I hate Over-G's control scheme for the same reasons that you love it. Why, you ask? It's because it made it so that you cannot use a joystick controller for the game. Then again, had Over-G had fully user mappable control settings I would still be playing Over-G to this day. (I lied, sometimes I still do play it but I don't get to enjoy my saitek while playing it)

G M 08-01-2009 08:07 PM

When it comes to flight sims controls on a pad it's a very persnal opinion every one likes it different, I don't see why you can't choose what does what, you would think developers would of learnt this by now.

BadKarmaSutra96 - "Then again, had Over-G had fully user mappable control settings I would still be playing Over-G to this day."

My point proven, I was pretty happy with Over G like I said before, I would say the best control layout for a pad would be Battlestations midway/pacific witch is very like BoP's but with the sticks around the other way so perfect.
But it's down to opinions = fully mappable please.

there is no p51 cockpit in the game, its a p47

Camo-234 08-01-2009 08:45 PM

I wonder if they are going to fix that. It seems strange being in a P-51 and having a P-47 cockpit.

well its a dev thing , most likely there are alot of planes in the game and not enough dev time/funds to model every one

so i bet a few planes will share cockpits

the only thing that confuses me is why the p51 , if anything i would want to put that as a priority over other planes

Camo-234 08-01-2009 10:37 PM

I think they just chose at random which planes to switch cockpits.

It was probably just human error, or they wanted to use the Mustang in the demo but its cockpit wasn't finished yet so they picked the nearest match.

Its true. Just look at the thread about the P-51 cockpit.

guiltyspark 08-03-2009 12:55 PM

remember guys , patches most of the time can only add a little content to the game . most of it is just changing code around to fix bugs and problems.

so stuff like an editor would not come in a patch

P-51 08-03-2009 02:53 PM

No but it can come as DLC from PSS or XBLM
Chris

an editor has never EVER been released as download content and most likely never will

the games code has to be built for the editor

P-51 08-03-2009 04:34 PM

Yes BUT go on eather and look at diferent online modes you can get (LOTR for example) They take the same sort of coding to make. It IS possable..

SlappyDingle 08-03-2009 05:57 PM

Yeah...

No more clicking in for look around and get the throttle control away from that stick...

Simplify please.

Xx RTEK xX 08-03-2009 06:32 PM

This is the control scheme I want added to the game. Notice I said "added", not forced. If people like the current control scheme, fine, but I want something different. I want to be able to look around ALOT more fluid.

LEFT STICK Pitch/Roll
RIGHT STICK Look

RIGHT BUMPER Throttle Up
LEFT BUMPER Throttle Down

RIGHT TRIGGER Yaw Right
LEFT TRIGGER Yaw Left

X Rockets
A Guns
B Bombs
Y Change View

Select Map
Click LEFT STICK Flaps
Click RIGHT STICK Zoom

SleepTrgt 08-03-2009 06:46 PM

I just want to see braking while using flight stick.

Good scheme, I would prefer that to the current set up. However, you forgot landing gear and trim. I would substitute the landing gear for either rockets or bombs, because these can be combined into one button since it is unlikely a plane will be carrying both. Trim could be holding both left and right bumpers down.

dald101 08-03-2009 07:46 PM

I'd really like the ability to customize some of the hud options on sim (single player)

Just the ability to turn on target info would be great because hitting all of those ground targets is nigh on impossible!

fritzwendel 08-03-2009 08:09 PM

I would like to see the full GAME first before discussing patches.
