Losing speed but not damaged :S
Hey guys,
Can anyone tell me what is happening to my plane in this case: I play the first campaign mission in the demo on sim mode... I complete the mission without visible damage (the 'plane damage indicator' in the 'B' menu is completely grey).... but still... every time when I go for the secondary mission...the landing... I cant even get close to the airport...because my plane keeps slowing down :S I start at eg. 2000ft and 400km/h (btw strange you cant put it in Kts).. then my speed get lower and lower...so i have to lose altitude... I put 100% power the whole time.. but still im going slower and slower until in the end I crash :S I only spend 8 minutes in the mission...so fuel is not a problem i assume (and this would make the enige fail completely anyways). Anyone there who knows the thing stuppid me is not seeing? PS. am i the only one who thinks the mustang flies like a car :S |
Check you flaps.

is your landing gear down?

I'll try it again... I will bail out just before shooting the stukas... so im sure its not because of the plane.. and will check flaps and gear

[arcade mode you can practically break the sound barrier:-P I don't know what to suggest apart from look at the plane model in HUD view for damage...[/QUOTE]
is that corrct, you can fly faster in arcade, than sim????? |
Quote:
sh!t yeah! Sim you have all the tradeoff of altitude and flight speed, arcade you totally blast thorugh the huge bomber shooting 7 shades out of everything....it really is like 2 different games. Arcade you throw your plane around and pick up speed like no ones' business-it's about fun (and shed loads of it) sim requires smooth precise flying to maximise your success ________ Honda Varadero history |
Did you hear any noises from the engine?
Same thing happened to me and I heard sputtering(coughing) noises from my engine and I immediately assumed I took some dirct hits. |

If you run WEP too long your engine will overheat.

:-P Vapor lock?

I believe that its where the fule turns to vapour and travels to the carburettor stopping fuel flow to the engine. Sort of like having a bubble in your blood. Correct me if im wrong!

There is just so much i dont understand :P Like cant seem to Trim, my plane also always wants to roll to either sides. Or the engine stops or i just lose random power. |
Well how high were you? its probably the altitude as the fuel would have a lower boiling point. The rolling is possible induced by the torque of the engines. Does it occur when throttling up and down?

The rolling is just sometimes there, but doesent have to, just tested with different speeds stayed the same. Maybe a trimming issiue? |

u gota treat it like a loda workers treat it well the engine will work well treat it badly and it will just quit |

then its vapour lock or your engine is being hit by small machine guns - Not enough to ruin the engine completely. Other than that i dont know what to suggest. Can you post a video of it doing these things?

Im not bothered by it, i just want to understand my plane as much as i can. I just want to become an Ace ;) |
It would realy help if i could see a video. Chris

Well if it wast a steadily decreasing airspeed and just wouldn't go above 300kmph thats fine. If it is decreasing then i would climb slightly. Just 5-10% With wep get to around flight level 50 and then go in for a landing.

Yeh ok then! I was about to ask whether you had a ps3..... Spose i wont be flying wit you then!
Chris |
So you are on Ps3 then?
|
