Some answers here

I am starting to post here answers to questions that community asked long ago.
Thank you for your questions - and for your patience.

Just for begining.

Q: Will we deal with limited fuel in single player and multiplayer?
A: As for Single Player: in a Single Missions or Training modes. In MP – according to settings of a session.

Q: Is there a P-38 to fly?
A: Not this time.

Q: How is navigation handled? On screen indicators, map/HUD or written mission directions etc. How do we find where we're going in the game?
A: You always have Tactival Map screen. It is a map plus your positions as well as positions of main objectives.
There are different modes in game. In Arcade & Realistic mode, you can still switch off HUDs, and use only Tactical Map, if you want to. In Simulation Mode – you can rely only on your eyes and Tactical Map.

Q: Is there going to be wash from the plane getting close to the water or land?
A: Not only FX. We have ‘wind-map’, and there is turbulences behind planes, in the clouds, or close to land surfaces.

Q: Average single player completion time?
A: If you are finishing game on easiest realism settings (Arcade) with infinite number of attempts (a setting), not finishing Secondary Objectives and now Achievements/Trophies hunting – that would be fast. I guess, 7-8 hours or so.
But even finishing Single Missions (which is the other Single Player mode) will at least double this time, and playing with finishing Secondary Objectives and a reasonable number of attempts (let’s say, 3) or on a different realism settings – will rocket it to 40-80 hours at least.

Q: What is Antons personal favourite campaign/mission?
A: Reichstag Assault.

Are there any plans to include the Spitfire XIV, either in the game when it is launched or as download content?

Anton,

I hear there are 50 missions and 6 campaigns. Is that 50 missions divided over the six campaigns, so about 8 each. I also hear about single missions, is that included in the 50 mission total ?

So how many single missions are there and how many campaign missions are there ?

Included.
Campaign missions are much longer in terms of number of events and length itself, but there are smaller amount of them (compared to Single Missions).

Single Missions and Campaign provide different type of gaming experience.

I have one question, how many frames per second is the game... i remember playing BLAZING ANGELS and when i was going really fast in the middle of an epic battle, it was like 2 frames per second, reeally, really, really really annoying.

Real question?

I can't imagine anyone who loves flight sims would choose to play them with a gamepad. That is just silly.

You serious?
OK, in arcade settings I would probably prefer to play with gamepad IF I'll do it in front of my 3 meters HD projection screen, on a sofa, with a beer (just as example. I don't like beer).
Because flightstick isn't adjusted for such gaming at all. :)

But even if I'd play in Arcade settings (and especially in Simulation) in front of the table where you can place flightstick - it is much better to use Hotas and Flightstick than gamepad. Due to obvious reasons.

Thanks for the info Anton!

One more question, when can we expect this DEMO... like a week or two or a month. "Soon" can mean many different things for many different people.

Raw Kryptonite 07-25-2009 03:52 PM

One article said first week of Aug.

I once took one of those floor rocker chairs (ya know the ones from the 80s) and mounted my flight stciks to it. I could kick back with my beer, and have a good stable angle for my controlls. Although my wife did call me an idiot loser for that one lol :(

peterdegrotere 07-26-2009 04:40 PM

Will there be some seaplanes in the game, like the Do 24, Do 18 and so on? I'm a fan of these aircrafts, because I was working for 12 years at Fairchild Dornier in Oberpfaffenhofen until their insolvence.
