@Nike it: Why you said that my pc is enough to run cryostasis on max settings when it is not enough?? I saw the benchmarks and the results are realy terrible even on high-end pc.... Why that?? Will the english version run faster than the russian one?? Or i need to buy a new pc??? And why you dont tell me what to do the get cryostasis to work?? You dont know why i get this error message??? I am fixing the registry with Tune UP 2009 ulitlies if it dosent fix the error then is there any other solution or the only solution is to install windows again??

I don't know the solution to fix your problem. Also benchmark runs in Dx 10, As you use XP - you can have only Dx 9 and it should run faster.

But the fps is often kinda wrong in benchmarks ( S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky´s benchmark showed much lower fps than you actually get), and Cryostasis gets much heavier later in the game, so I don´t trust benchmarks very much.
If I should believe this, then I´d better buy a cheaper card to take care f the physics, because this shows better fps than I have.

I have 50-100 kb/s which means 2,5-4 hours to get the tech demo :(

There won't be such demo benchmark for XP.

Wait, the PhysX effects will only be available on Vista?

That's why there won't be such demo for XP (also because of DirectX 10)

So.. you mean the DX9 graphics of cryostasis on max settings are npt so good like DX10? Is there a big difference between DX9 and DX 10 in cryostasis graphics??

Why Phsyx effects only on vista?? Just to force us upgrade our computers:evil::)?????

Of course DX10 is better than 9 but it´s different from game to game how much difference you see.

But in your case, it´s not so expensive to get DX10, since your card is a DX10 card, the only thing you need is Vista ;)

I didn't get Vista to play Crysis, I most certainly won't get it to play this game. Hate not to have those fancy PhysX effects but I'm not getting Vista

Why not? I´ve never had a single problem during the 2,5 months I´ve had my computer, I know games run a bit slower in Vista, but so what?

Well, if the game would just play on Vista 64bit, that would be awesome, because the tech-demo doesnt. I see this game failing, limiting it to vista 32 bit only users.

Good that it works for you ( i see you got a very new card). I got a 8800gts (512MB , g92 chip) which isnt that old (renamed to geforce 9xxxx afterwards) so, anyone any clues why the last generation of geforces dont play the tech demo / game under vista 64-bit ? Thx.

btw, did i mention that the latest nvidia drivers r installed ?! I guess not :P

Demo and game is work for me under vista64.

yeah, with "beta" drivers... should work with standard aswell.... but it doesnt.

There is a pacth that allows you enable to enable very high settings of Crysis on xp! I try it and i was able to play crysis on dx 10 settings on xp without need vista and dx10. But the game run very slow even on high settings on my machine so i was forced to set physics to low and some effects on medium to be able to play. But i read on some forums that Crysis very high settings run faster on xp than vista, so i would like to know will there a pacth like this in the future for cryostasis that will unlock the dx10 graphics/effects for xp?? Please dont limit only to dx1o just to force us upgrade to vistta!!:):):)

But I think Crysis is the only game where you can do that. I saw a video on youtube where a guy had the same graphics card as me had 10 (!) fps more maxed in XP, that means 25-35 % better.
