|
Could not get to open
|
mitra, can you share my replay battle of Lewes?
|
I tested the file you share Marian, it works. mtman58 what you made to see the replay?
|
I still can not get it to open.
I am thinking I need to draw the enemy into the ravine. Then blast them with arrows.....or something like that. Am I on track?? |
You cannot unpack it, or you cannot open it with the game? You patch the game to the 1.2 version?

Loading Replays
Mtman, you will need WinRAR program (or similar) to decompress the RAR file to a REP file which the game uses to save replays. The REP file will be 'in' the “1.1.0_Battle_of_Lewes” folder created by WinRAR when you use it.
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm (v3.80 has a 40 day free trial) Then you will need to find the “XIII Century” folder (maybe in “My Documents”) and locate the “profile” folder, and select the ‘name that you use’ folder, and “replays” folder in it (if you have saved any). Copy the “Battle of Lewes.rep” you decompressed with WinRAR into the “replays” folder. Now the replay will be available in the game. It sounds complex, but is really easy once you have done it one time. Good Luck :) |
Tomisama, thank you for elucidations! :)
|
Thank you Tomisana. I will try it.
This game is the best. I love it!!! |
I know I can win this battle but can not do it.
Can someone type out how it is done? thanks |
You must take advantage of fact that the enemy attack no all in one time, but in different waves. Use circle pikes like wall, and move cavalry and swordmen left, right and center how you need.
|
Mtman, you really need to see Marian's replay.
I had the oportunity to do that this morning, and it was well worthy the effort  |
The first thing I do when the battle starts is get my men out of the ravine and move them to the top of the hills on each side. Is that correct?
thanks! |
No, you must use the ravines. See the replay of Marian
|
Can not get it to come up.
In the ravine I am thinking I should move the bowman to the back behind the pikeman and try to get the enemy them to attack me in the ravine so I can shoot them from above. Would this work? |
This is a possibility. No exist only a solution, the enemy can react in different mode on the base of your action. My suggestion is to use ravines and pike's circle for gain time and destroy the different branch of attack one for one moving swordmen and cavalry.
|
What is the first thing I should when the battle starts, the second??
I am having a very hard time with this battle. Thanks |
Place the pikes in circle, and create a reserve with cavalry and swordmen.
|
Thanks for the help. I am getting closer (scored a 46 on last battle).
I think I can win with a few more tries. This one is very hard. |
I just won the Battle of Lewes. (score 102)
Thanks for the help. That was a hard one for me to win. |
GoodGame :)
|
and months later......
i have the same problem. trying to win the battle by your advices. it's too hard but fun wish me luck... |
oh that was nothing to worry about following your advices. pikemen in circle formation was my golden act. swordsmen at reserves with archers supporting my devensive units was effective also.
at the end i sent my cavalry to clear remnants of the enemie's archers. scored"113 (or 112, bad memory!!!) |
