Sounds like GSC and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 are no more... sad :-x

So I am the only one that sees this as a sad end to a great company and series :( pity!

STALKER is a nice game, shame to see it go off the scope...

That's a pity, I like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and was really looking forward to a sequel.

If you like that game though, you may want to google "Lost Alpha", a mod in the works for the original.

mmmh stalker is one of those games that when came out originally was SO riddled with bugs that after so much waiting it put me off :(

I still have it on my shelf, waiting to be played someday.. although after the experience with Fallout 3 I doubt I'd find this any better...

Fallout 3 is rubbish compared to stalker IMHO fallout 3 has about as much atmosphere as a crappy chick flick while stalker draws u into a bleak morbid world that no other fps except perhaps metro 2033 has ever done.

Typical the large company release a similar game and the sheep lap up there putrid product and the small company that bring something new to the table are forgotten about... The game industry is a load of rubbish unless your a large company only willing to put little in for as much as possible out.... Bah

I dunno man, Fallout 3 is very very immersive and above all playable again and again.. Stalker is more fascinating probably, if anything for the fact of the real scenario, the complexity of missions etc..

I would probably put it in the same category as Hidden and Dangerous 2: by far the best real time strategic game on WW2 commandos, and although not perfect it was immersive enough. The next game the guys developed (Vietcong) was even more immersive, but a 3rd chapter of Hidden and Dangerous would be a most welcome one!

Do you know what happened to the development team of stalker and why a sequel is not happening?

It's funny how the market seems to saturate itself with the same genres at the same times: the WW2 wave has just gone, now we're in full post-apocalyptic swing and super war scenarios stuff (Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 4).. wonder what's next!

STALKER is one of the best games EVER made. period!

I love call of Pripyat but out of the three the first one had the best storyline and is still my number one out of all the games I have played and it's a SANDBOX game... They normally loose all focus on the story. That sums up how good a game it was.

Yeah sturny it's interesting, I am already bored by the modern war fps... Never buying another call of duty game again due to the money grabbing schemes.

CoD havent even completed the SP and BF3 got boring very very quickly..

Im either getting to old and slow for those types of games or they are just boring the shyte outa me
