Factory new Spits back please
It is now absolutely impossible to fly a factory new spit in game because even with the slider on the very left side my spit comes in a worn out dress.
I would like to have back the possibility to fly factory new spit. Please poll accordingly if you agree. |
A huge YES from me for that one, the in-game chipping as it is is nothing short of horrible

Slider 0% should not give any weathering at all. However they could place the slider at 25% by default so they don't look factory new in the default setting.

But if you set a very low percentage instead of 0, it will be ok. |
Perhaps we could have two sliders, one for skin weathering (chipping off of colour) and one for operational traces (oil, exhaust smoke traces, ...)
and no, the chipping does not look good. Looks too random. Chipping imho would occur where there are fine mechanical stresses such as ppl standing and walking or by stones projected from the ground during take off and landing. Some natural chipping may occur due to temperature falling and rising but likely this will occur predominantly on the edged of the skin panels. |

Big +1 for factory fresh spits, look at this from one of the earlier development updates:

Step forward the ATA girls :D (We had one visit the museum yesterday - she delivered over 400 spits). |

A big yes!
Mind you, other palnes are bugged too, depending on where you're flying (MP/SP). I have yet to be able to apply some weathering on Hurricanes, and 109-s are sometimes fully weathered too :( |
Post some pictures of WW2 aircraft so we can compare between new and battle worn aircraft and what effect the slider bar should do.

I'll go out on a limb and say a majority of Spitfires in 1940 had this degree of paint missing during the summer and fall. Pure speculation, of course since I wasn't there at the time!
