is it posible with clod engine go back in time?

youve sailed half hour theres the objective

damn i failed for that microfreeze

so what now half hour wasted?

no you hit the rewind buttom 30 seconds and try again

or spend an eveing rewinding heads on or practicing certain deflection shots :)

this is an old idea of mine, is not posible with the il246 engine

but dont you think it would be a cool feature if it was posible in bob?

maybe theres still time to implement it if enough people want it

from now on im gonna fantasize what would be the perfect game and make these suggestion here

you could do the same dont wonder what the game can do for you wonder what you can do for the game :)

edit:

has anyone played counterstrike?

when you got killed you could fly with the keys as a ghost

would someonelse like to be able to move through the map at whatever speed as some kind of astral projection as in counterstrike?

you could have some fun admiring thjose amazing maps

i bet the des have this tool, they could integrate it in the game :)

edit:

with that tool we could see this:

Maybe you mean like recording a track and during playback the ability to jump into the action and try it again like in the old Aces over Europe/Pacific titles, which I think would be easier to implement but let's get everything else stabilized first. Good Idea for a feature though!

Counter-Strike and Cliffs of Dover on the same post is wrong, VERY WRONG.

Also, rewinding is a feature for games like DIRT, this is a SIMULATOR, not a forgiving arcade game, you made a mistake, your problem, start the mission over and try again, or in your twisted little mind you think you can just go back in time and undo all the c$%# you've done in your life?

Do all of us a favor, think 50 times before you post.

My, my, had a bad life so far?

This game has butt-ugly directional arrows, and also the ability, once shot down, to jump into another aeroplane...
So, funnily enough, I have no issue with Raaaid's idea. I mean, apart from if your on some kind of acid, going at 4X speed is also impossible in real-life.

And as he says, it would be really useful for gunnery practice or the like.

really usefull or just a different way of doing it? I get my practice by repeatedly flying a quick mission with unlimited ammo.

Good for you! Really, that's excellent! I'm so pleased. Do you want a medal to go with that?

It's not a necessary feature, but I think it has it's merits (if we're being selfish, it's of more use to me than ugly directional arrows, and certainly of more use than the ability to jump into another A/C during flight).

bongo driver this would be better to practice heads ons :)

Hatch 06-03-2011 08:49 PM

Come on, it's a sim for crying out loud.

What we need is injury generator.
So in hardcore mode, which everyone will use of course, if you crash or get shot etc. you are awarded a task.

And not purely random of course.

So a botched landing: throw yourself off a flight of stairs.
Or if you get shot: jump off a motorcycle at high speed.

After submitting a vid of the result you get a medal and a key to play again.

:) :) :)

OK I can work with that......sort of, but to validate my point on my previous statement that philip took offence to, if you were to simply rewind and replay a single event you are merely training yourself to get the shot for that single instance....this leaves out the whole situation of getting yourself into the firing solution in the first place, of course it would work to a degree in training gunnery but I don't see it being worth writing the code into the game engine for a very limiting feature, just my oppinion and nothing offensive meant by it.

raaaid 06-03-2011 09:00 PM

yes thats why i posted to see peoples opinion, myself i would like it quite much

No. I'm just a prick.

It's a good idea - I have wondered why this isn't in the game myself. The 'because it's a sim' argument against this is, frankly, laughable since you can already play around with time in the game.
