We are aware that multi-crew is a little twitchy, but this isn't related to that, is it? Not just for one plane? |
Once again I'm stunned at the quality and quantity of work TD does for this community. Thank you so much for all of this!
Tim |
Gratitude
Thank you to my friends at TD!
|
A big thank you and congratulations on another great update!
|
Huge respect and a big thank you, Team Daidalos!
|
Thanks a lot for all new stuff and improvements.
So happy to learn about new Black Sea map. |
Wow! That's a lot of new additions and improvements for what is a 'minor' patch. Team D is just the best. :)
|
Hi,
Why did you put "?" after aircraft service dates? Is it because you are not sure? I can do a little search if you want :) |
Great job all
|
Flares missing from R-5 now?
was looking at the new R-5 and tried to use it in a mission built in 413 that had the R-5 as a flare ship, now it has no flares, RRAB are cluster bomb dispensers and SAB were flares?
"Full rework of bomb loadout variants for R-5 (for historic ones only). Old missions may be incompatible with new loads." from the read me. hmmmm |
Thank you very much indeed, TD!
Your unfailing enthousiasm is really admirable. |
 thank you!

A little lost
At the end of the readme file there is a topic I cannot understand how to use it or where to use it. It is about the Customization.ini.
Plane S.S.S. - [WheelSpatsHide] key - Hide wheel pants. Plane I-153 M62 - [Show_EarlyProp] key - turns on early type spinner. - [Show_Antenna] key - turns on external radio equipment elements. - [Hide_Radiator] key - turns off movable cooling shutters (cooler operation disabled). This modification is used on Kuban at 1942. - [Hide_WheelCover] key - turns off small landing gear doors. This modification is used on unprepared airfields at the spring mud. Plane I-153 M63 - [Show_Antenna] key - turns on external radio equipment elements. - [Hide_Radiator] key - turns off movable cooling shutters (cooler operation disabled). This modification is used on Kuban at 1942. - [Hide_WheelCover] key - turns off small landing gear doors. This modification is used on unprepared airfields at the spring mud. Planes I-16 types 24, 28, 29 - [MissingWheelCovers] key - turns off small landing gear doors. This modification is used on unprepared airfields at the spring mud. |
in folder with skin for that plane present txt file in which you can set that value and you will get that changes on external model

For example, if you look at the S.S.S aircraft in the QMB, you'll see that whichever skin you select it will have coverings over the wheels. You may want to remove the coverings, say when using winter skins. To do this you need to enter a code for the relevant skin into a customization file. Finding the code is a little fiddly at first. In the aircraft skin folder (PaintSchemes\Skins\C.C.C) is a file called 'Customization.ini', which also has a brief explanation of how to use it. It will have an entry like this: [WheelSpatsHide] winter 180749067925974009 - The long number is a skin code. You need to add your own codes here. I've added two winter skins, so my entry now reads: [WheelSpatsHide] winter 180749067925974009 -4736321700717977883 2569264132350764063 To get this working, first go to your Paintschemes\Cache folder. It probably already has many files in it, you can delete them all to make it easier. If you don't want to do that, just sort them according to date so you can check the most recent entries but it really makes it easier with a clean folder. Next start up the QMB and select the aircraft, in this case the S.S.S / C.C.C. Go to the skin selection and pick a skin. I used the 'CCC_Standart_winter.bmp'. Start the flight (you need to actually fly for the skin entry to appear in the cache folder). Have a look with F2 and the wheel covers will be on. Now leave the game and look at the Paintschemes\Cache folder again. There will be a new folder with a long number as its name. Mine was called '-4736321700717977883' but I'm guessing it will be different for other people. If you didn't empty the cache folder, you can check the skin in the folder to make sure it's the right one. Copy this number and paste it into the customization.ini under [WheelSpatsHide] and save the file. Now when you go back to the game, that particular skin will have no wheel covers while the others still do. Note that they will show as normal in the skin selection window, but will be gone in game. The same applies for the other aircraft and options - In summary, start a flight with the skin you want to customize, leave the game and check the cache folder for the folder name, and enter that under the relevant entry in the aircraft's customization.ini. |
I've always wanted the spats for the I-15 on all the time, but of course I've never been able to make it work.
It would be great if this was a loadout choice and would work on or off line. Also a couple of the old BlitzPigs have asked about reinstalling '46. A: Does it work with Windows 10? B: Is there a one step patch DL somewhere to bring it close to the current patch level? If they have to install every patch from 4.07 on individually they are not going to bother... |

[WheelSpats] and [WheelSpatsGreen] It would be nice to have a simple on/off setting though. For your other questions, mission4today has a 4.07 to 4.12.2 megapatch. I have no idea about Win10. |
Thank You VERY MUCH !
is the locale de-DE missing ? |
Quote:
I have windows 10 and don't seem to have any issues. |
Thanks a LOT! Really can't describe, how much I appreciate your work!
a few mins later: Installed now and works like a charm. Only thing, as Lemmi wrote above, quite some german menu-texts are missing. Not a big problem, just to let you know. Thanks, again! |
Thank you very much TD,
but the international patch convert the german game into a english game?! |
it's a strange.... because De localisation was made one of the first ... hmmmm....

Black Sea
Quote:
1. Historical Crimean toponymy has been restored - well done! 2. Coastline bugs and non-historical objects are still there. Sigh. Anyway, now we have about 20% of the Black Sea in one map and this is great. Both coasts of Kerchen Strait are real now. Another step towards full Black Sea... some day. https://s16.postimg.org/4tbgyp2ut/old+slide+(Small).jpg |
1000 thanks for your work DT, good job, bravo!
Really thank you, I want to give you a warm hug for eveything you are doing. |
Thanks for all the great work! Keeping IL2 alive for sure!

Thank you guys so much.:grin::grin:

Great work, as always. Worth the long waiting :)
Thank you! |
Ok this is cool! It's good to see that I-153 has a fuel gauge now. I'd like to see the gauges added for P-40E/M, Fiat G.50, Yak-1 and earlier versions of Yak-9, even though I rarely play with them. Oh well, I can wait for another 2 weeks.
|
outstanding work gentlemen. Thank you very much for your time and efforts.
|
Please tel me that you will continue your wonderful work.
Please, I really want to get more updates! |
we have no other choice

The other contenders for "best" WW2 air combat sim, just are not working out for me. Limited content, high prices, dubious gameplay decisions, etc... After all this time, 15 years for me, IL2 (the real one) is still the best. |
Oh, boy! Oh boy oh boy oh boy!
I finally get to see that cool landing gear indicator in the I-153 in action! Been waiting for that for ten years! Seriously, it is no exaggeration to say that IL-2 is one of the best applications of any kind I've used, ever since I started using computers. The development team and TD have done phenomenal work. Absolutely phenomenal. You guys deserve formal recognition and high praise. 10 - 10, again! |
Thank you DT for the new patch. Its awesome.
The new He-111 variants... Brilliant. These were sorely missing from the game until now! And while officially there are two new He-111s (H-11 and H-16) in 4.13.1, but in my opinion, we have three! The old H-6 wasnt really a H-6 at all, but instead just like a fictional variant. Now it is 100% correct, so yes, a new plane! The new I-16 and I-153 modifications are also great, however, the real gem of this patch is the R-5! Its such a fun flying this plane. The cockpit is also very well done! Again thank you DT, and keep up the good work! |

I LOVE how you surprise us at every single patch DT!! Really, you are very skilled , you can do a great career! |
once again great work will the B-17 and he-177 be in the next patch?
|

Agreed, I've been having a blast with the R-5/SSS. The SSS definitely has a lot more spring in its step than the R-5 though. Amazing what a bit of streamlining and a few more horses up front can do. |
Thank you for this beautiful new patch, DT!
I'm loving it :) |
Thank you DT. You guys rock! :D

Or must the german speaking pilots wait until the next patch? |

If I'm not mistaken, this new Black Sea map is based on the map made by "Dad" and used in SAS mods (CUP, etc.). TD's map, however, uses improved toponymy as mentioned above. Probably there are other corrections which I didn't notice yet. Well done, TD. |
