New full real game server 4.13
 

Today opens a new full real game server il2.com.ru - "Classic Aviation" based on the game "IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles" version 4.13!

Features of the new server:

1) Full real! No speedbar!

2) Mobile and stationary targets for attack aircrafts and bombers: the column of cars and armored vehicles, trains, ships.

3) All airfields are equipped with illuminated runway (switched on request to the dispatcher) and a non-directional beacons.

4) Realistic change of day and night (during the game corresponds to the real Moscow time).

5) All the maps are based on historical sources and as close as possible to reality.

6) Always the most current version of the game (to date it 4.13RC04m), without mods.

This is the second server from il2.com.ru. First server opened on October 29, 2015. His feature - version 4.09m.

To play on the server you need to register your nickname. Accounts for servers 4.09 and 4.13 are the same. If you are registered on the server 4.09, the second time it is not necessary to register!

If you have not registered yet, you can do this on the official website server. To register, only enough to specify your username and password.

No speed bar, ouch.
Tough for many users. Aging eyes, no TrackIR, etc... Speed gauges in some cockpit are hardly visible.

Is it currently just the Crimea map?
Are there any thoughts on updating the Midway map to 4.13, I think all you would have to do is add the B5N2, and bringing it over?

Thanks for the quick reply. However, I want to point out that the very concept of "your nick" or "my nick", that is, the idea that that a certain nick belongs to a certain individual is an illusion. I have taken my nick from a famous author. You share a nick with a famous airplane. Who are you? Who am I? Only Buddha knows. It's just a string of symbols, there's no copyright or such for a nick. Also, my favourite servers reset the statistics every 1-3 months or so, not just after updates, so stats are meaningless anyway.

Anyway, are the N1K1 variants included in the server planeset on any map? As long as this plane is absent from other servers, that could be the competitive edge you want...

Just a hint - from my own experience.
Please pay attention to caps when you register and then log in to servers which require registration.
For example: if I register as "dimlee" but keep my nick in IL2 settings "Dimlee", my attempt to log in will fail. Hense, I need to open main screen of IL2 and to either correct the nick or to add new one - "dimlee".
Funny - if try to register again as "Dimlee", it will be rejected because "such user name already exists".

I tried Crimea map at night.
Challenging to fly on instruments, of course. My real life knowledge of Black Sea geography helps a lot. :-) Please keep the full moon on.
Night map is good to try those SABs. Very helpful for precise bombing and straffing.
Some notes:
AAA is not too challenging. Probably rookie level?
Flak guns at Sevastopol (Cape Khersones) airfield are not active.
Tower(red) does not switch runway lights on, despite verbal confirmation. I smell sabotage there! ;-)
What about searchlights, are there any?
Any hints how to find ships and trains at night? If they are moving, the task is almost impossible...

Sorted! The fault is all mine, I am an idiot!! Kept putting in username not password. Doh! And they let me drive trains!!

I follow the instructions,make a pilot with callsign Petresko,as I registered,waited 2-3 mins inside the server,I write <pass<MyPass to the Server and it sends me "You don't have the permissions" in russian ...:evil:

What about tower teams - will they illuminate runways at night? Currently those guys ignore my commands, sleepy heads...

Update: runways are illiminated now by pilot's command, I was wrong.

Just made another flight over west coast of Crimea.

Night missions are cool, especially if you have SABs in your bombload.

tried to register but get spinning wheel of death once I clicked the registrar button.

ok got registered and keep getting kicked off.

somethings wrong with the server; I get in, pick plane, spawn and lose connection to host server!

I show 5 green lights or bars.

Do not forget to send your password to Server after you are in.

Otherwise a player is kicked out after about 1 min or so.

Just tried to strafe airbase at Cape Khersones (Sevastopol). It was easy job earlier, but now it is protected by at least 7 AAA. Tough cookie!

Searchlights have been for the first time applied.

Outstanding!!! I am quite interested in the North Africa campaigns.

Well had my hopes up.......
This map feels like it was just half way thrown together, and not in a good way. Not all the aircrafts are there, and some that are are just wrong. Where is the Luftwaffe? BF-109Es, Ju-87Bs, Ju-88As(not based in Africa, but in Sicily and made frequent raids to Tobruk.) Why use the P-40B? Not even the correct plane for a plane we have. Are you trying to substitute a plane for the Tomahawk Mk IIb. Guess what, we already have this plane so no substitute is needed. The Regia Aeronautica is represented ok, still missing Ju-87Bs though. NOTE: I say Ju-87B but in reality the actual Ju-87s where of the R type. But the R type was very similar to B, just more fuel.

And its nice you put in beacons at the airports, but for what purpose? None of the planes available have PDI instruments in the cockpit.

Now to be fair, the aircraft matchup looks good, and I am just rambling on about historical stuff, the mission doesn't have to be historical to be fun, so I will probably still give it a go.

Beacons - we can "listen" some Radio Roma broadcasts, I guess. :-)

On the game server in addition to the main rating introduced Elo rating. This rating is used in chess, it allows you to calculate the relative strength of the players.

The initial rating of each player - 1000. For every downed enemy aircraft rating increases, for each airplane lost in air combat - is reduced. Rating is calculated only for dogfights between players of different armies (destroyed of friendly aircrafts and ground targets are not taken into account in the rating).

Elo rating will be interesting to fans of dogfights, because it allows you to determine the real effect of virtual pilots.

On all pilots pages was be added lists of dogfights in which they took part (sample).

Each dogfight displays date and time, map name, nicknames of pilots and their aircrafts, as well as Elo rating.

Published information about the newly introduced server Elo rating, as well as the method of its calculation.

It should also be noted that none of the existing game servers "IL-2 Sturmovik" does not have the same objective rating system. As a rule, used a cumulative rating, which encourages players to fly on the server, but does not allow to evaluate the real skill of virtual pilots.

I registered. Tried joining server and it said my version was not compatible, that the server was running 4.09. I am running 4.13rco4m.

Maybe someday if you get it updated to the latest patch I will give it a try....
