Agree it is the 6xxx series that is the problem, but as it is the latest and greatest from ati, one would hope itwas fixed by now...
Busy loading a hotfix for 11.5 that may do the job ;)

Doc_uk 05-09-2011 07:25 PM

If they havnt fixed the blue lines, then im not putting them on
i'l stick with 11.4 for now

addman 05-09-2011 07:29 PM

The "blue lines" actually seems to be affecting the 69xx series to be specific. All reports I've seen so far are people with 6950 or 6970 cards. Also if you want the problem fixed you HAVE to report it to ATi yourselves otherwise no fix, so the more of you who report it the faster they will fix it. Flanker35M have repeatedly posted the link to the feedback form and I'll do it again: http://www.amdsurveys.com/se.ashx?s=5A1E27D27E29B0E3

You're welcome! :)

The problem here is where the bug lies, is a game bug or driver problem ?

If is a driver problem the best way to get sorted is going to AMD forum to report it, do it here is a waste.

Someone already opened a thread there :

I suggest that everyone affected report there to show that it is a widespread problem.

its been reported enough times, allready

Flanker35M 05-09-2011 08:44 PM

S!

I did that for EACH driver version that still had the bugs. Did not report those that were actually fixed by the new driver. So Doc it is advisable to fill in the form now with 11.5's as well.

These drivers did not change anything for me, blue lines are there etc. So a report will go to AMD. Also noted flickering clouds when flying into them, that was new for me.

Bobb4 05-10-2011 05:58 AM

When I made the switch from Nvidia back to ATI I thought I had done my research. Looking on USA sites and 90% of flight simmers have ATI set-ups so I was shocked to find that the 6xxx series sucks. Admittedly only with Clod but still. I would recommend they stall a US release until they solve the bug. The game does not need any worse publicity.
It is also nice that not a single member of the development team has even commented on the issue.
What I like about RoF is they actually admit when they have a problem. They give updates on fixes etc...
Here we just get a Beta Patch released with a this may fix stuff
Hell full screen is a joke on an ATI.
One thing I will say is I get stunning frame rates between 32 and 60 over London and 50 to 114 evertwhere else.
But every time I see such and obvious bug I end up turning off the game. each time a patch is released or a new ATI driver is released I pray those damn line will be gone...

Phazon 05-10-2011 08:02 AM

I submitted a report to the Catalyst team as suggested. Its the only way to get AMD to fix as much as they can on their end for the game, like Nvidia they only focus on the popular titles.

Like i stated, im not putting them on because, they dont fix, the problem.
And ive allready reported 2times, so im not going to do it again

CBA_Bludawg 05-10-2011 10:11 PM

im kinda wondering why when they are in the devevolpment stages of the game they dont have numorous rigs with newest hardware and most common and maybe even some older rigs so they can test all this stuff and inform ATI /Nvidia about the issues before the release of the game.
if that make sense lol

Zaltor 05-11-2011 12:12 AM

The latest Beta has the worst perormance of all for me, in fact I was getting 80+ after the 1st oficial patch now 10ish over london. I notice no diff between 11.4 or 11.5

For one thing, much of the hardware and drivers are days and weeks old, not years old. IIRC they did not have a CrossFire rig at the office at all..not even sure about SLI. In a perfect world, you code things to certain specs and the hardware guys build to those same specs and everything works hunky dory specs.. In reality, no one does things to the exact spec, and the hardware variations are so numerous you could have 100 PC's running the game and when it goes public you find out there are THOUSANDS if not tens of THOUSANDS of variations..
