Will COD be avaliable through 1c?
question to 1c.
will this game be purchaseable via 1c (online store) as a download? id rather shove the money right in your bank, rather than supporting some 3rd party publisher who has nothing to do with the game other than making a profit on it. |
Most like not, as the international publisher is Ubisoft, we publish the game only in Russia.
|
+1.
I'd love to be able to get it from 1C. UBI didn't do squat for this game. I'd rather give them the finger and buy straight from 1C. |
Me, too.
Does the russian version from 1C have english language as well? And what about release date in russia? |
The Russian version should be released 25 March. And I will ask about available languages, but almost sure that it will be only Russian.
|
So now we have 1 week time to learn russia so we can get it on the 25th isntead of 31st! Yes!

I wish it was that simple. With UBI loosing money at this time, they would be on top of 1C with all kind of lawsuits and demands to get money off them. |
I meant in an ideal world ;) but then Ubi would be doing a good job :)

I wouldn't count on Russian version supporting English language in any official way. You western fellas have to remember that PC games in our (eastern) part of the Europe are sold cheaper to make up for a big difference in earnings of average customer. So these editions of the games are hardcoded to be used in eastern countries only (language, region locking etc.), otherwise some smart guys from the West would immediately buy all copies at half the price here, just to sell them immediately on "your side" and make lots of easy money ;).
Well, there's always option of cracking/modding "eastern" edition of a game (translating all the interface back to English etc.) but it would definitely take more time compared to waiting one more week/month for UK/US "proper" release. Cheers. |

I am only buying on steam to avoid paying ubisoft and to make sure the team gets a better share - I always prefer a disk in my hand though so a choice which gives me both would be nice...

I too would much rather prefer to buy from 1c directly rather than give money to ubi. Hopefully the russian version has multiple languages supported. :)
|
yes i am agree the product COD is MADE in RUSSIA i want BUY COD FROM 1C DIRECTLY whit TRANSLATION RUSSIAN-TO-ITALIAN supported.
NO UBISOFT. I WANT ORIGINAL PRODUCT DEVELOPED FROM 1C MADE IN RUSSIA and NOT THE COPY FROM UBISOFT. EXAMPLE. FSX IS MICROSOFT MADE IN U.S.A. original product and not have UBISOFT. |
I'm going to learn Russian, very quickly
|
I'm flying to Kiev next month, so guess where I'll be buying MY copies of CoD.... I already have a Russian Win7 on my PC so that angle is covered- my Ukrainian Il2:46 install runs happily on my W7 so there should be no problem with CoD.
It's not about price difference, but I will NEVER buy anything from UBI again- I was quite annoyed by their 4.05m/BoontyBox fiasco and the way they dealt with SH5 was the last straw for me. |

You MAY persuade me to..... but remember that you will also need to install a Russian-language OS first. About 5 years ago SaQSon stated on the UBI forum that it was possible to install/run a Russian IL2 on an English Windows, but I never managed to achieve this despite my best efforts. The Russian IL2 discs check for the OS's language version before installing, and IL2 won't even install on an English Vista or W7 Ultimate with Russian interface pack installed- I tried that too. So you will need a Russian XP at the very least- I'm not sure whether CoD will run on W2000.
|
In windows 7 is very simple, just go to windows update, and select the complete russian language package. I install japanese and chinese sowftware in my spanish windows just making this update.
|
Tried that, but IL2:46 wouldn't install even when using the Russian interface.

1st : set the OS language setting using Regedit. some times, the localiced problems read only the default keyboard setting. Add russian in the keyboard layout. 2st : install over a virtualized OS, using VirtualBox or similar. |
