Any 360 pilots got a cam?
 

I wanted to get a screen shot of a few of us who have the 360 maybe flying together or getting some good pics for troop morale around here lol,

for example -

a P51 and a P47 flying on the wing of a B17,

a spitfire and hurricane flying past the cliffs of dover,

and 109 and a 110 together over the channel


examples of what could be done, or a big group formation with a few us of and post it on here with a label as to who everyone is in formation :D but...

a) my cam is broken, and not compatible with vista
b) im not a photographer anyway

so, anyone know where i can maybe get a cam on the cheap? im not wanting to sped lots of cash because this really isnt my thing, just something i would do now and again.

Anyoen got any pics already? want a wingman so you can get some more? lol.

just see alot of the regulars on here flying and we get some good games in. Would be good to post a pic of us all flying at once in a big formation!! would be pretty epic :P

might see if i can blag one off my mates for a day or two, theyve got HD ones but I think they might be willing to part with the normal ones for a few days.

if you do manage to blag one off him and you take some pics, let me know and i'll jump in your game and be your wingman :P

I do have a DVD recorder. I have been wondering what it would take to simply record game play onto a RW-DVD. I might look into what and how I can do that. I know I can, because I can record from the satalite box, or other inputs, so why not the Xbox...

Hmmm, i think with a little help from me, tudorp and pope we'll get you into sim miode :D

Its easier than it looks and much more fun. SEE (here from forums) is now playing sim mode, he was wary at first because he hadnt played it. Had a few games and he soon picked it up. Got his first dogfight kill today to..... little bit pissed that it happend to be my hurricane :( but a kills a kill lol.

sure. I like sim on single player i find it easier than realistic for some reason.
I think its because seeing that insrument pannel focuses the mind , i love scanning those dials then checking my six and drawing a bead on the bloke infront. its just when I play online play arcade cause its easier and i have more prctice at it.

with arcade everyone knows where each other is because of the red arrow etc etc etc (the usual),

but with sim its all level.

Chances are if you've lsot him, then he's lost you!! its a case of who can check map first, get a rough idea of what direction the scan the horizon that way, while at the same time "listening" for those all important bullets. If you can hear bullets that are not yours, then chances are your getting shot at so stop going for your target and get that guy of your 6 :D

Its better to have 1 kill and no deaths than 10 kills and 11 deaths.

A good all round game mode to help is CTA, this way you can pretty much do everything from dogfighting to ground attack. Its a good learning ground.

Just watch out for tudorp, he's bloody sneaky!! he likes to land on the runway and unorthodox way ;)

I do believe ive played mr Tudorp before but on arcade. Surely this cannot be the same person.

It was probably me. There is no other Tudorp on line. I don't play arcade much at all, but have because that was all available out there. Come play with me, Foz and Pope in a SIM CTA match, and you wont ever want to do arcade again..

I can capture game footage and either stream or just record it. Send me a FR also, if you like. I do a lot of free flight and formation flying (or atleast try to) with my squad. Its alot of fun, and the more planes the merrier.

i got a good digital cam foz and im up for trying some photo shoots cant do anything today as ive just put me batts on charge but tom night no probs :grin::grin:

oh and im off to bagginton air museum tommorow so stand by for some great pics of the vulcan bomber they have there :grin:

Draux its good to see you on here again, i've flown online with you a few times, your a damn good flier!! many of my mates (not from this forum) dislike you just because of one game where you killed them a few times!! THAT i'd take as a compliment lol. More fool them for flying wrong i say.

I got an Xbox Web Cam. Dont know if its possible to make photos with that one, though...?

That's the kind of device I use, it works pretty well for youtube videos.

Note: you have to hook your 360 to the HDTV with component cables and audio cables. Then hook the usb device up to the composite video cable and the audio outputs on your tv.
Main issue: you have flip the switch on the 360's video cable from HDTV to SDTV to enable the yellow composite video cable, or it will not be active. That means you're playing in 480i, so sit back from the tv. LOL
You can get used to it, then afterwards remember to flip back to HDTV.

Now THAT! is some usefull information! :-P
do you know if it is possible to get those itme in a Store or do you have to buy them on Ebay?

Got mine on Amazon, but Best Buy or Walmart might have it. Just search for USB video capture, there are tons out there that all look pretty much like the one linked to by Vulcan. Like $30-50, no need to spend more. Comes with an application for capturing with a viewer on your pc monitor. Capture as a .avi, then edit with Windows Movie Maker to get the file size greatly reduced and add titles etc.

You can pay at Amazon with a creditcard, even if your current is euros. Done it multiple times.

I got one of these a few months back, Dazzle, seems alright but a bit finicky to get initially working.
