Beautiful screenshots guys!
|
Why is the 109's model better than the Spitfire's and Hurricane's? Specifically, I was noticing that on the 109's nose cone model there are quite more faces, which can clearly be seen if your point of view is right in front of it.
Also, the shape of the Spit's wingtip is not smooth; its cockpit doesn't have trim wheel animations, many gauges are not 3D models, while the same gauges are 3D in the Hurricane. I wonder why. Was it for optimisation? There's so much here that seems to have suffered a forced abandonment... |

Interesting shots, larry69! Although they could use a little less sharpening, I think. What are your SweetFX settings?

On 9. July 1940 Al Deere collided head-on with a ME Bf 109E of 4/JG 51 flown by Oberfeldwebel Johann Illner. J. Illner returned base but on 5. Nov. he was shot down over Essex and became POW.

@larry69: Great shots from a yet unknown perspective. Especially, the second picture is an eye-catcher!

great screenshot shot there, showing CoD at its best :) only just noticed the farmer with his tractor in the field in the foreground, and presume it was a stationary object in a field when you took the screenshot, or was the tractor moving ? with the complex scripting possible in CoD it should be possible in future to assign individual AI routines to some of these "drivable objects", where the tractor actually moves up and down the field (and have him stop at night time even), and have some civilian trains, with buses and cars on roads, moving on predetermined routes, and the whole CoD world would come alive :) |
..
Quote:
the tractor is only static. i know it is possible to let it drive around. but if i spawn it to go from A to B, it goes like a crazy left and right and crashes with other subjects where it there on the way. i`m not found it out that the vehicles go strait the way I want that it to have to go:? (sorry my bad english) Larry69 |
Quote:
If you put waypoints far from roads in some open area of map vehicles move as expectec. Ie, put some waypoints in zig-zag in some crop field to have the tractor "plowing field". Sokol1 |

Thrill a minute :Dive bombing with Ju-88's:
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...3.png~original http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...a.png~original http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...f.png~original http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...8.png~original http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...c.png~original |
Nice pictures, but the wing-over attack was never used with the Ju88 because of the great weight the plane accelerated too fast, wasn't nimble enough for quick corrections and was in danger to reach the structural limits.
The dive attack with the Ju88 was just a steep dive, usually not over 75°, initiated with a nose over from level flight. |
Photorealism
Small glimpses of the future quality of simulators like this screenshot keep me buying bigger better faster more, even after 15 years of simulating, it is fun.

That's a nice shot! It really looks like it is from the Med/Africa.
I like the feeling of scale in CoD. In FB/1946 the aircraft never felt they had any bulk. In CoD there is a feeling that they really are BIG. |

...thanks, major setback.;)
