Only the most beautiful aircraft ever made, and in that particular colour and markings of 17 squadron RAF, 1940, of pilot officer harold bird-wilson who had 6 confirmed kills in the battle of britain. He was shot down over the thames though on the 24th september 1940, becoming adolf gallands 4oth victim :( he survived the shooting down and lived on until his death in august 2000 aged 80 :( |

prototy of he-162?

but the original he-162 have a different cockpit...
|
Quote:
|
Nope, it's not the He-162 Volksjäger.
Only one prototype was completely constructed I believe. It was imagined as a jet powered successor to the Stuka, and the pilot lays in a prone position to better withstand g-forces. This also gave it a reduced frontal area, so it was planned to use it as an interceptor as calculations showed that the probability of being hit by defensive guns was largely a function of this. |
but the rest was borrowed from th he-162

Arado Ar-80? |

Heinkel He 118?

Is it an early Stuka? The Junkers prototypes had similar undercarriage fairings but not much else is similar.
Mine was the Henschel Hs 132 by the way |
sorry thought yours had been "got".
and n. |
Looks like a combo of Stuka and early supermarine design. Not being a Stuka, is it an early RJ Mitchell design ? (looks kinda like RR exhaustoutlets)
|
Got it ! Supermarine 224 from early 1930´s ?

The second must be a ME 262 without engines and nosepart ?

ME 309 ?
I why is that one not in BoP  |
Quote:
I think there were only about 4 prototypes constructed. It underperformed during trails and the Fw-190 was the better option at the time. Not that you would think it from playing Birds of Prey mind you. |
the bottom one is a henschel hs 126

As silly as this may sound.... im going to guess its a B17.
The wreck looks a mess and very compact, so it could be mistaken for a twin engined plane, but "some" parts look very much like a B17, most notably the tail fin and a little of the fuselage from the tail fin, forward. Its 4:30am though, and im tired so thats just a random guess really. Will have a proper look tomorrow afternoon :D |

Second guess..... Maybe japanese, but then again the surrounding are doesnt look very much like it belongs in the pacific. It looks more like european type of forest... could be very wrong though. |
b17 is close, but not correct... ^^
no european forest. |
1 or 2 tailfins ? hmmmm maybe a Lockheed PV1 Ventura
|
1 tailfin

Il 4 ? |
