I just send a email to game.gamesplanet.com in order to confirm the release date.

http://game.gamesplanet.com/buy-down...r-2307-39.html

They changed the release date to: 18/04/2011 at 23:00 BST.

It's the first time a preordered a game, and only because of the credit that Oleg's Maddoc and his team give it to me. I am wating for gamesplanet confirmation of release date. If the game is delayed, i will cancel.

No date at all it's better than a bad date. We have been waiting so many years, not a real problem to wait some months more. But confussing the community and the potential buyers of the game it's not the best idea.

I really don't understant why people preordered a download version.
If you bought it on the release date, would anything really change?

Anyway, we'll get it when we get it, no real problem :D

It blows my mind that nobody has told us when this game is coming out.

I'm not sure if anybody has a brain on the other end...but you might just want to let your customers know what's going on.

I just don't see the advantage of pre-ordering either. It's not like you have to wait in a queue based on how early you threw your money at them.

More options for where to order from are available the closer to release date.

If the CE was available here in Canada on the earliest release date I'd spend the extra money but since it looks like d/l will be easiest and fastest I'll likely wait for Steam unless they're delayed for weeks compared to another option.

I don't know how everyone gets themselves so upset over the lack of promotion, videos or even release date. It's been 8 frikkin years folks so why microanalyze the why's and whatfors of a couple weeks.

Then again it's been highly amusing watching everyone lose their minds.

I ordered the Collectors edition through a shop over in OZ, with the idea that if it was gong to take too long I would just buy the download, "No problem having the game running on a couple of PC's at home" I thought.

But if it requires steam they don't allow you to have multiple copies of the sim under one account. That'll mean a new email address for the account and a whole lot pain in the butt keeping track of things! Down loading patches for each installation and things like that.

We never knew how good we had it!

Cheers!

Hmm, kinda makes sense. But couldn't you just install the one copy and play it on both computers using the same Steam account? Wouldn't you just log on to the same account from any number of computers you wish to play on?
