Hey guys, just stumbled across this forum. Rented the game last week and LOVED it. Struggled to get decent games though unless I wanted to play arcade with screaming 10 year olds! It feels to me that this club is dying, so I recommend that we all take a look at the PS3 IL2 sturmovik league. IT MAY HELP get some action started.

Well it is very hard for me to do everything list,forum, etc. Maybe some people could think of some stuff like you did and help me organize events. What is the sturmovik leage?

EDIT: I just saw the thread about the league. It sounds good we could get a few of us to register there.

I already registered and created a open challenge with the team name "V.A.S. Alpha Flight" its a dogfight match but when you and the others from our flight group register we can play the other multiplayer games. Sorry, I will be representing the team alone just this one time in order to try it out and see how it works. Hope you guys from alpha flight dont mind.

I hope im not changing the rules TRK29 but some VAS members that have the game show little interest and there are others that really want to fly as part of a group. After all, this was the reason why VAS was created or not?

Im only trying to organize legitimate matches so that we can represent V.A.S.

Okay Edal I am registered. No I think whats happening needs to happen some people might not be interested in being in the squadron right now and thats fine. Everybody knew that the flights could shuffle so if there is a need to move somebody than it won't be a problem.

I think it is quite safe at this point to say, forget your current flight group if they disappeared and team up with VAS members that you regularly play with or know that are active and you can count on to challenge and accept challenges from this league.

I signed up on the Trans Atlantic Leagues website, so I can join Subaru and Zeroptimus. Another potential candidate could be Infinite States... I fly with that guy all the time (Zeroptimus, as well).

infinitestates is also not part of VAS squadron so if trk29 is ok with it you can invite him to register with VAS or maybe try to stick with current VAS members (that are active), they are priority. Perhaps P-51 is interested.

yes, yesterday was fun, 1 vs 1, cant get more personal than that lol. What you see here is a league that VAS is joining, it is also a way to keep us active VAS members representing the VAS squadron and a way to keep this squadron alive. please join a team, irrelevant and subarugaz need members to complete their flight group (team), or create one and recruit 3 other current VAS members that you can count on to play with.

Hmm... no offense meant here, but I was merely basing my suggestion on who I play with the most. Is it possible that VAS is too big and grew based on who planned to purchase the game? I've seen less than 10 VAS members online since I started playing on release day.

I'm cool with flying with P-51 and Subaru... but will we realistically see each other online often enough? I've flown with P-51 two or three times, so it might work. I guess time will tell.

Agreed there is alot of people I don't see online playing the game "ALOT". I will send out a message to everyones e-mail asking if they still want to be in the squadron and if they got the game.

sorry for the late response, but no, tur-kish did not mention anything I think he is still working on recruiting guys for his team. in the mean time, subarugaz, irrelevant, and p-51 are ready, maybe we can agree on an official match, to get things started, VAS flight group vs VAS flight group what do you think guys?

also, xxsilencexx told me that he was making a team of his own, so we may be having 5 teams by next week, hopefully.

VAS vs VAS would be fun, but i'm still hoping for a proper match against TAK.

As for when i can play, im on most weekdays/nights. Time wise i am quite adaptable to both british and american time zones so it shouldnt be a problem.

Also Edal i was wondering if you could help me out. Over on trans-atlantic leagues it appears as though i have created multiple copys of Bravo flight after joining ladders, is this the case with Alpha?

Because when i join a ladder it says "Copy team". Maybe its normal but i cant be sure.

Another problem is the fact that my Bravo flight has joined a cod4 doubles ladder (unintentional) and i cant seem to remove the team from it.

Any help on the above queries would be much appreciated thanks.

yes, copy team for every Il2 birds of prey ladder, then invite your team members for every ladder it sounds annoying but thats how its done, as for the COD ladder, you can edit your team name, name it something else, or if you are going solo, then just enter your id name, for example, I made a team for every ladder under the name VAS Alpha Flight except for the dogfight challenge where I only use edal86 as team name.

hope this helps, basically, for cod instead of selecting "copy team" select "create new team", and then name your new team or name it subarugaz

I basically set it up as Bravo flight because it just made sense. and because it more than likely wouldn't have contained all Delta flight members.

Yes this thread has fallen to the bottom. Big sorry on my part. Finding the time is hard. Luckily one of our own Edal has come through where I have failed. I did post some pictures up on the VAS forum, but that was several days ago. We do need to get some practice in formation flying done though.
