I believe that is a Cessna A-37B Dragonfly. Vietnam era and some actually still used today by other countries.

flynlion 12-22-2009 11:57 PM

A-37B Dragonfly or "Super Tweet"

The attack version of the T-37 "Tweety Bird", also known as the "Converter" because it converts fuel directly into noise. Fun little jet, but LOUD if you gotta work anywhere near it.

Edit....ninja!

Correct, it is derived from the Mustang. It's not a kit plane though, its a serious combat aircraft.

Was hard, but i remember alot of news and info of the falklands war. The super etantard was our biggest threat because it carried the anti ship missiles.

Not quite old enough to remember the falklands lol.
One small problem, its Dassault-Breguet Super Étendard (dard not tard :P but thats me being picky )

Ok, here's mine. Sorry for the delay, Xmas family stuff had to be situated blah blah blah.

Robotic Pope 12-25-2009 12:07 AM

Well its a Lavochkin right? And its not a 5,7,9 or 11. I really don't know. It looks very small, like a La(I-16) lol

FOZ_1983 12-25-2009 12:27 AM

Looks just like an LA-5... very much like an LA-5 but that would be to obvious surely? and soviet does like to make things tricky ;)

Is lavochkin on the right lines though?

Its got to be an La, the wings and fin are for sure. I'm pretty sure its not an la-5 though. The engine looks much larger with bigger intake and the rear fusalage a lot shorter (maybe just the angle?) the rear of the cockpit also angles up more. Ive never seen that fairing on the fusealage just above the wings before either.

This is a good one Ace ;)

Spitfire23 12-25-2009 01:03 AM

Hmmm, hey soviet i do believe that right there is the Polikarpov I-185 M-71.

I can see why people would mistake it for something in the La series

To be perfectly honest if i had never played 1946 before i would never have guessed it

He's right you know. I'd never have got that I hadn't even heard of it before. I guess I was close though saying an La(I-16) :D
