so...is anyone missing the redouts and blackouts then ;-D
i think the demo is good value - lets you get a taste for aerial and air-ground combat, try out all the settings. my only gripe is the free look control, i find it a bit awkward keeping the stick clicked down and trying to look about but im hoping to have a flightstick by the time of the full release so hopefully wont have to worry about it anymore! cant get over how beautiful it all looks with a minimum of frame rate drop even at low level - the ardennes forest looks so atmospheric. roll on sept 4th - will be a day to remember! |
I really dont like the P-51, damn spinning airplane

You can toggle these communications off.

I'm already missing the blackouts and redouts, and I can't read the instrument panel! The click to look around is also annoying, and my mustang always explodes whenever I attempt a controlled crash landing. Once I went nose up before stopping, and then exploding. I guess everyone has their complaints, nevertheless, it's great to be flying on my 360.

Kind of silly to complain about the lack of black outs and red outs, while at the same time playing the game with a gamepad. There is no click to look around, if you play the way a flight sim is meant to be played. :P |
It sure would be nice to have the ability to toggle the "free look" on or off. That click-in business is so imprecise...

Anyway the more I play it the more I like it. Somethings should be improved but BOP has a great potential. I guess that with a joystick we should look around more easily. The Saitek Aviator is on my sight. |

Virtual gut. |
You know what sucks... I bought a PC Saitek Aviator for the original IL-2 before hearing of the 360/PC version. If I'm going to get another stick, I'm going to have two of the same. What a waste. :(
