Looks great, I love it

Already pre-ordered, looks even better than ArmA2 :)

Firmin 03-21-2012 09:38 AM

We need only ARMA2 for this? Or ACE too?

No you will need to buy it.
They bought the licence for ArmA2´s Real Virtual Engine, and used it to create a standalone Game from their former planned mod content.
It is a standalone game on the arma engine.

I hope it's goint to have Arma2 v1.60's netcode and optimization.

Thanks NSU, I was holding out for a gameplay video, but that looks absolutely brilliant! Graphics seem improved over Arma II slightly (though I could be wrong). Can't wait for this now though!

not bad at all. going by the comments in the Video it is a ressource hog, though, so I am curious how it will work out.
What I really love is the how they created the landscape, that does look as central european as it can get.

Great, Arma engine and WW2 just work well together, even better then a modern scenario given their avionic limitations. I think I'll get it.

Is this game a FPS or something a little different? It says you are a soldier either red or german and you can use planes and tanks to attack. I have never played ArmA2 and have never seen it been played either.

Bewolf 03-23-2012 06:30 AM

I'd say it is something between a FPS and an Infrantry Simulator. Rumors says it is used by some militaries to train their soldiers. Maps are huge by any FPS standart, encompassing whole regions or Islands.

Here is a little gameplay vid

ArmA engine is a lite version of the VSB engine they sold to the US military. Delta Force uses it for training.
