I finished the Ulrika quest but no call colossus scroll, only some shield and when i bring her to the lighthouse i got nothing either.
I guess i'll start from the beggining.

I play as viking becouse i like to use the rage abilities and also i finished crosswords with no loss impossible as mage and i got tired of so many spells. :grin: I need something different before i try as mage again.

As for the bosses on the first isle it depends how much leadership thay have as it can be 2x difference. On my first try i killed the one outside the cave but the one inside was insane with like 40+ archers + 2 stacks of 50 skeletons + the other units.
On my second run tho thay both were weak and doable with few scrolls.

I beated 5 big packs of skeletons with 1/1/1 Soothsayer + Axe Thrower + Slingers and with Call of Nature lvl 2.

But it was about 2x300 + 3x300, not 2x 900, wow, impossible for this amount !

The thing is, when I beated Ahriman and the necromancer as a Soothsayer without loss, I did not beated all the troops on the first island, I came back later to clean the island ;)

There are many changes from AP/CW in magic spells, Rune magic seems pretty fun.

For ahriman and the necro, yeah it seems so as I read a lot on it.

May be the Call Colossus spell is only for Soothsayer, it is really possible !

Without attacking spider stacks or were the giants active?

Giants have good defense and make 1K attack on the spider, and with hilda's inspiration he has 2 speed points. He took the place of what xev called the "boss troll". I NEVER attacked the small spiders, just attcked the big if it is close or I took defense position. A lot of stone skin and heal (not for trolls) on the 3, and the 3 are trying to attack the spider.
2 call of nature lvl3 in order to attract spiders + attacking the spider, but only when the spider has 12/15K left. Otherwise they die too soon...
