I have this weird colors in the Blenheim cockpit. I don't know if it's just me or a general problem:

The cockpit was perfect in the beta 1 and the actual steam version.

the last beta patch genenate many color artefacts ( red and yellows dots) at cockpit gauges borders and this beta2 generate the same bug at all cockpit and aircraft parts like a decals and gears .......my videocard is a geforce460 and i use windows7 64bits using last nvidia driver.

I haven't confirmed this, but it's possible that turning on radiator automation locks your oil radiator but does't regulate it. I'm really not sure if this is actually the case, and if it is, whether it locks it closed or at last position.

It locks it from player interaction anyhow.

some visual bug
i have cache cleared and my config is in my sign
1: we can see fire dot moving through the mountains
2: the plane shadow is too big in the the foam of the sea
3: always the skyline problem

There seems to be an issue with higher resolutions and medium resolutions
1920x1600 I have the buildings set at medium distance and medium amount.
Looks fine but the dot and plane visuals are lowered to, or say I can not see
The planes enemy unill .800 meters when I'm sure they seen me already.

At 1600x1200 the resolution looks good but no buildings at medium distance or medium
Amount. I can now see the dot aircraft at 20k. Which this is on ATAG server.

Also theres floating dot is like 30 feet over the cockpits.

I remember the V1 beta patch you could see eachothers exhaust flames in multiplayer! I really really liked that feature and allowed me and my teammates to do damage checks before landing. I didn't notice any performance loss due to this and it seems AI planes still had those effects turned off. Infact it is directly linked to the AI autopilot, because if you hit Autopilot on in your own plane, you loose your own exhaust stack flames!

Either way I'd personally like them re-introduced!

Ah, and the usual launcher.exe hangs in multiplayer after about 10-15 minutes of play. Will fetch crashdump on next crash

Ati 5870 Xfire testing results
 
I have been testing with the use of three simlar spec systems all powered by Ati 5870.
2 rigs have 2 5870 in Xfire & 1 rig has a single 5870.
Xfire was tested with and without MSI afteburner locking no1 & 2 cards to give standard clock speeds for both cards on boot for Xfire rigs.
Testing was done with the Black death track from start to where the close up of the soldier on the AA Gun is seen.
fps SHOW LOG command was used so when the track was paused and the consol bought up again there was a good number of AVE MAX & MIN frame logs to be seen.
ON the internet i checked my rig against my Squadies other Xfire rig and found whatever in game video settings used the results were the same on both rigs.
Testing At VHI HI MED & LO in GAME settings
I checked my rig against the Single 5870 rig and found the results the same even though I had Xfire running.
Disabeling my second card gave me the same result again.
Double checking with afterburners 2 x temp & 2 x GPU`s chart showed that Both cards worked on Xfire and only one when I disabled Xfire on my rig.
Conclusion
Despite aterburner showing both cards working in XFIRE mode ,and the Xfire icon showing in game it appears it is actualy having no effect in the game (at least for 5870`s ).
Could it be both cards are rendering the same frame instead of alternate frames :ie
Alternate Frame Rendering - Just like with SLI's Alternate Frame Rendering mode, each frame is rendered by each GPU one after the other. For example, the first GPU will render all the even frames while the second GPU will render all the odd frames.
The other Xfire rendering modes are :
Supertiling Mode - Supertiling works by dividing the screen/frame into small squares of pixels and spreading them evenly to each GPU for processing.
Scissor Mode - In scissor mode the frame is split up into two pieces, depending on rendering effort. The two GPUs are given each half of the frame for processing.
Whatever mode is used by Cliffs of Dover it does not appear to be working on 5870 cards .
Hope this info helps someone figure out the problem.

I bought new graphic card ATI HD 6870 and i tried CLOD with latest beta patch 2 ( with fix) and i found i got a lot freezes above cities - expecially over London ( like textures load pause or sth). My fps were not bad average 30-40 fps but i got a lot problems with freezes over cities or when enemy is closing ( bombers etc). Before i got GTX 280 which died ( i remember that i probably dont have such freezes with these card) so i dont reinstall all system just clean drivers by Drivers Sweeper and install ATi drivers.

I wonder if others with similar system have the same problem with pauses and freezes with these patches?

I got Q6600 at 3.0 Ghz, 4 GB Ramm, ATi HD 6870, Win7 64 bit

In game i got buldings detail - medium , budlings amout - low, forest - medium, textures - high, land - highs, shadows- off

Really need to check the Bf109 E4 prop pitch it works fine sometimes and then it seems to stick at 12:00 or 7:35... Completely messes up your attack if you don't see it in time.

Low down I still get stutters, I mean the game is very jerky :(
Possible the buildings or trees. Oh, and ground dust (taxiing) is a real fps killer. So are clouds (old il2 ones?!)

Up there it's smooth as silk. Rough silk...with no anti aliasing :D

Sometimes trees disappear altogether. I've somewhat connected this to using the "very low" tree setting. To get them back you have to randomly fiddle around with restarting the game and changing the tree settings. Had this problem intermittently for a long time.

Clearer video of the FW200 landing bug, from this angle, it looks as though it has touched down even though its about 5 feet off the ground, the flip happens about halfway down the runway - this is under AI control and not just limited to this particular German air base on the main BOB map.

Some Ju87 Bugs
 
I didn't find those already mentioned, so i write them here:

Fuel indicator shows 100l for left tank and 100l for right tank when the warning light comes on, telling the tanks are on 50l each.

Mousepointer also shows 50l reserve then. It seems as if the instrument shows the combined value only.

Flaps are only extended in the landing position, intermediate positions are only attainable by switching to landing and back when the desired position is reached.

SC50 Bombs, on the wing stations should be releasable single, in pairs or all, not only all at once.

For all planes with rear gunners, they don't react anymore when the player went to their position once, also they wear the players uniform then.

Radio menu (TAB) for RAF planes break completly as soon as a certain amount of AI are created.

The dedicated server log shows no error, just the player receives this console output, if he hits TAB+4 a repeated times:

This bug limits the use of the radio for the RAF drastically. The Luftwaffe planes have no problem with the number of AIs, but the RAF. I now spend 2 weeks, all over 20-30 hours trying to find out why and isolated the problem down to the number of AIs - not the type, not the script not the objects simply the numbers, that`s what concluded from the endless hours testing.

Therefore RAF can´t use any custom menu created. Please consider this in your fixing of Radio commands.

I attached the files I used for the final determination, after I went countless times through my script trying to isolate the cause.

I don't think this is a bug. I think it's a great add to realism. Altough I 'd like to see that gunner speaking more often (gallantly and pleasantly of course- What abt a good old joke from time to time ?) :rolleyes:

It seems you didn't understand what i wanted to say.
If i go to the gunner of a Ju87, to see the success of my bomb attack and go back to piloting the plane, the gunner then wont react to any enemy on my six anymore.

BF110 Fuel Tanks Bug
 
Don't know if has been reported already, if so i'm sorry for posting this again :(

Tested on BF110 C7 but probably the same on C4:

Case: Spawn with FUEL 50%

Fuel Tanks level indicator show Front Left / Front Right tanks as FULL and Rear Left / Rear Right tanks as EMPTY (correctly)

BUT, if you try to switch engine's feed from FRONT LEFT to FRONT RIGHT tank engines shutdown (if fuel tanks level indicator say right, this should keep engines running)
Otherwise, if you try to swith from FRONT LEFT to REAR LEFT engines keep running (if fuel tanks level indicator say right, this should cause engines shutdown)

There is an inversion in tank selector and gauge display in the 2nd selectable tank (can't remember witch one)

This is what I've noticed after playing for a couple of hours with the new patch.

Sorry if someone posted the same before, but I didn't go through all the posts.

- Sometimes when planes are really close and in LOS they seem to disappear all of a sudden and appear back again 0,5 - 1 sec straight after that, more or less.

-Also, AI planes vanish in the middle of the air when you are chasing them and getting closer. Really annoying.

- Prop pitch variation is not synchronized with the binded key. When you hold down binded key for pitch, gauge indicator keeps moving for a few secs more after the key was released.

- Prop pitch control bindings are still displayed upside down in the menu. increase pitch decreases it, and the other way round the same.

- Color scheme seems terrible to me, it seems that all the colors are faded or are displayed far too bright by default. ( no issues in my screen pals ;) )

- Apart from that I'm very pleased seeing that the game is getting.polished little by little, my game experience has improved a lot since fatal April.

I just flew a little bit online. Suddenly the sim begins to stutter and FPS drop to 7 FPS. Well, I managed to start the Spit and after about 4 - 5 minutes of stuttering really bad, the stutters were gone and FPS was on about 35-40 FPS.

I cannot figure out, what is going on here? The framedrop was when flying over land, as well as the framerate increase. I always flew over land not sea.

Very strange behavior in my opinion. Anyone got this issues too?

I got that same issue on the Repka Steppe server yesterday. Dunno whether it is connected to the gfx engine or to the network envirnonment of the game.

Try to switch off visual effects.
Fps will be better and without big suttering and sudden decreasing.
Unfortunately you will miss flak effects and explosion effects on the aircrafts.
