Introducing Club Rules 'Light'

Dear members,

In order to use the positive momentum the tournament has created and promote the more challenging ways of flying, I'd like to introduce a new version of the Club Rules which should make it easier for members and outsiders to find their way into the cockpits:

Club Rules 'Light' (CRL)

- Cockpit Only
- No HUD
- Who dies less wins
- Limited Ammo/Fuel

Own discrection on sensitivity settings.

Note that the B-tournament is not affected by this change, which still requires classic Club Rules at all times.

When setting up a game under CRL, it's easiest to start the game from the text chat with everyone who wants to play like this, or send PSN messages to those in a room to confirm CRL are in force.

Happy 'light' Club Rules flying!

Tried these "CRL" settings yesterday evening in a couple of P 51 games, thanks to Mac and Kav for these great fights

so, if everyone agrees, you can count me, just msg me when I'm "online" on BOP for such amazing games!

Nice one Mac for Introducing The Club Rules Light.. this will make things alot easier and more enjoyable for me and expect others especially using the Standard controller layout.

Mac and Burnator, thanks for great games last night.
Man one really gets a scare, chasing a P51, when suddenly your cocpkpit is shettered with bullets holes from the third plane in the game.
GREAT FUN........

Thanks a bunch skipper!

Looking forward to develop new skills.

Maybe it's possible to develop Kav's squad-idea/tourny in PCL...

Thx very much Mac and Olife for your warm welcome, but this is too much !
I'm just a week-end BoP player, and from what i've seen (and played) there is lots of much greater BoP aces !
By the way, my only ambition is to have fun, don't hesitate to ad me to your friendlist for historic or just crazy games (only in SIM mode, sorry for all arcade or realistic addicts, i'm simply totally inapt for these modes :().

See you soon in the skies

Hello guys and gals. My name is Willie and I come from USA,TN. I'm 27 male, single parent that loves everything to do with flying. My heart is there I nkow it, i have some old pilots blood in me somewhere. But the only time i've been up is in a few military flights. That and all the perferctly good C-130's I jumped out of.

I've read this thread in great detail and I love the idea which you guys have made reailty. I would really like to join up, I know not a lot of people play online still. But i'm willing to be online ready to play when you guys are. (If real life permits.)

So whatever it takes, point me in the right direction. (I sent a PM to MACADEMIC on the PS3 already.)

I also have a HD PVR that is coming in, so I'm really wanting to record you guys in action.

Hi Willie,

Thank you for your post and your nice introduction. I have to apologize if I have missed your post on the PSN, I'll check soon. New talented and motivated pilots are always welcome. What's needed is a certain time of familarization, please have a look at our member's list at the beginning of the thread and ask some of them to fly with you in Club settings and issue a recommendation for your membership. This is to ensure that the Club maintains a high level of flying skills and, more importantly, character.

I look forward to flying with you sometime soon.

Best,

MAC

hello guys!

yes those scale models are FANTASTIC!
to precize, the "ground scenes and vehicles" are made by a friend of MIG21/SU27/PAJU.
MIG21/SU27/PAJU do the planes scale models only.
to reply to your question WINNY,the time to do those BEAUTIES is very very long, for example ,MIG21/SU27/PAJU said me that to do a MIG21 FISHBED 1:48 it take him...14 MONTHS OF WORK...!!!but he won a gold medal with this model in a scale model concourse in 2010.
i will tell all of your kind words to those both artists,i'm sure they will be happy and honored.
and if u play BOP with MIG21/SU27/PAJU,maybe u can send him a psn message of congratulations too.(i don't know if he speak english).he play realistic and maybe arcade.

thx and see u aces
sincerely

hello teacher!

yes very nice traileer i must say,i play the ace combat serie since the first on ps1 and it is the best modern planes game in my opinion because of his fantastic atmosphere!! but i think too much arcade.
but for sure my favorite are il2 and birds of steel!!!it is too long to wait until the beginning of 2012,hope the father christmas of gaijin and konami will do a nice surprise for the 25th december!!!
...yeeeeees...imagine in birds of steel ,the pilots run to their f6f hellcats,on the deck, the screaming sound of the AAA 20mm guns... tactactactac...the thunder of the escort cruiser guns...boom...boom...in same time the kamikaze dive...i want it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi esteemed members of the P-51 Mustang Purist Club!

It's been an awfully long time since I've come around to play on the PS3 and for sure I'm going to be rusty.

What better opportunity to get in shape against the remainder of KG200 who, as our intelligence has reported, are supposedly still somewhere in hiding, waiting for an opportunity to avenge the loss of their '1000 year' Reich.

We would fly a patrol mission on Saturday from 10pm GMT to protect the dignitaries participating in the post war Podsdam conference. This is an honorable task, as the new order of the World is at stake. We are to prevent any interference of the conference from the air.

Those of you who are able and willing, report for duty here. Once sufficient numbers are present, we will schedule a briefing prior to our mission.

You can find details on the intelligence report here: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=23815

I hope to see many of you.

yes pc is awesome for graphs but at the only condition u must all the times improve your pc performances and power (buy a new graph card...).
the brother of my wife did this experience with his pc ...before he bought his new graph card...mmmmm....a 2000-2001 years graphs!!!lol!!.
yes,the real simulations are only on pc,ours ps3 have not the power necessary to give us the same...but wait...and hope ....maybe in the future...the ps4...
personnaly ,i don't know the pc communauty,so i respect the pc gamers...i see the french forums of il2 games pc users...just hope that what i see in those forums from many pc guys are not the general opinion of the pc users for the consoles games...yes we are not all a young teens of 14 years old ,just pubescent who want play quickly with the planes between the grammar exercice and the dinner do by mummy...but i'm sure it is just the opinions of some french idiots who want show off...respect for all.

Pt17 trainer

Sweeeeet Pic. All I can say"jealous" knew a gentlemen who built several Ryan pt 22 trainers. I lived 12km from the airport know for their vintage airplanes, most fames being Steve McQueen and his airplanes, one being a Pitcairn PA-8 mailwing which I worked on(detailing) fancy word for cleaning. He lived in the hanger in Santa Paula,CA. however it was 4 yrs ofter his death that I started detailing private airplanes. Some one offerd me a job because I was hanging around the airport too much, like that's possible. Now I will have to travel 2hrs to visit that little airport. Thanks.

I was surprised, but not at all disagree, that most of the top Aces, specially on this board, use the pad.:o

MACADEMIC 08-23-2011 04:28 AM

Yes, I like it, and use it even on the PC's version of the game, Wings of Prey. The analog sticks/triggers just work very finely and allow excellent control of the airplane, even if that's a bit laughed at by some of the 'pros' in the flight sim genre...

I can only do what I have been taught, and playing this game I have learned to play with honor. Playing any other way would be a dishonor to you and the others. I just might change my user name to Eddie The Eagle. ( my hero )LOL

Hi all,

It's been a long time, but I'm happy to say there were some excellent Club Rules games going on last night with Mage and Chowbird.

Since there are so many flyers who get used to flying in cockpit and without HUD these days, I'd like to invite you to take a step further and try as well to fly with all controls in full sensitivity. If you're using the Dualshock and Aviator mode, I recommend you to make a custom layout for the controller which will enable you to have better elevator control. Plenty of information on the 'How to' on this thread.

Also, you can always contact me in case you have troubles with it.

Check six,

MAC

Hi U2,

Well there is no difference in the elevator and aileron sensitivity settings which are in the options menu - they are both at 100% in Club Rules. However the ready made profiles all have a problem which is best observed from cockpit view: when you pull back on the elevator there is a sudden snap near the end travel which will violently take you into the stall, while Custom allows you to set the stick to be smoothly and evenly controlled all the way.

However I must point out that, due to some bugs, it is not possible to replicate the standard layout in custom settings, but aviator layout can be done nicely.

Happy flying!

MAC

U2RATTLEHUM 08-27-2011 01:27 AM

Will work on the layout and setting. About having bugs that just part of the nature of the digital/online gaming. playing field is the same and about analog thats what I us when playing guitar. Mesa Boogie amp(all tube)Analog pedals from Demeter and Electric Harmonics and American Fender thats a true purest stay away from digital equipment. But I digress. It was fun flying with KAV and THEMIESTOR <not so much. However I did get a lucky kill and it was MIESTOR. (damm he is good) but then damm, your all good!
