Yes thats where the gig ends....I re downloaded all the parts again this time from M4T (the one that shows the pictures of the CD covers) and its hung again on the 4.09 patch.

At what percentage Does the game stop loading?
And These may sound like stupid questions
Did You install 409 b1m?
Do you still get the No DVD in drive when the disk is not in the drive After installing 409m>If So
Have you tried the No CD Fix?

One More thing
Try starting IL2 from inside the folder Let us know what happens

The game quits about 3 ~ 5 seconds after clicking on the icon "il2fb.exe" it does not get to the splash screen.
It does look for the disc.

I get an error message if the drive is NOT in the drive, This is a newer disc. I never had this problem with the older installs. This might be why the old disc is "lost" :rolleyes:

I did not know there was a cd fix.

I did try that, it does exactly the same thing.

Is IL 2 all ready running?

Did you save a copy that has not been patched?
If so
Copy the EXE from the 407 version and paste it in the 409m version
It really seems to me that for Some reason the patch may messed up the exe

It was the AMD Athalon .Dll error, if anyone is interested.....I thought I had better re-aquaint my self with EVERYTHING because this became such a big deal. So when I saw what CPU it was, I remembered that there was a .dll file issue going from 4.08 to 4.09. I did a search and found the fix, simple copy and paste two files. Copy the files to a separate folder before 4.09 install, overwrite files after.
