In my unofficial list the only mistake was I got the mk of the Beaufort wrong :D

Normal Lancaster B mk III

I have the site listed as a favourite so noticed the updated list earlier.

A great looking list, so classics!! Would of preffered a Typhoon to a Tempest but i really dont mind the Tempest at all :D

And the Lanc...

I'm so glad its the one it is. I didnt want a grand slam special or a gibson lanc. I just wanted a bog standard normal lanc and thats what they've given us. Excellent!!! Notice its in 49 squadron markings to (EA) which is probably a good shout, they were part of 5 group and did their fair share of work, from arms factories to peenemunde...they were their.

And the cream of the crop.... HURRICANES!!! 2 of em!!! But both look the same in the pics though. Still i have faith in the guys at Gaijen to deliver :D

One Hurricane to shoot down planes and one Hurricane to drop a couple of bombs or fly further. Will do me.

Now the negative...

6 BLOODY SPITFIRES!!!

That aside..

I cannot wait for some free flying on this now!!!

Lancaster Spitfire and Hurricane in formation - Beautiful!!

Cannot wait to fly the Mossie either!! What a beauty. No doubt Pope will be making use of it ;)

This game has jumped to the top of my must have list.

i never bothered to get the b17...are you able to switch gunner placements...like go from front gunner to ball turret (top and bottom ) to side gunner to rear??

On another note -

Lancaster Bomber EA-D of 49 Squadron Bomber Command was one of two 49 squadron Lancasters lost over Berlin during a raid on the night of 26/27 November 1943. Only the Bomb aimer "J G Burrows" survived. He was taken prisoner.

It would be good to see the serial number of this in game Lancaster.

Below is a pic of "D for Dog" after another previous trip to Berlin. Taken from a 49 squadron site -

Here's the site about this particular airplane -

To unlock the Lancaster win 500 strike games using bombers  ;)

Seriously now, the B-17 turrets were just the same as the other bombers in BoP, so no.

This is the ONLY game on my must have list. There are several games coming out that I'm going to rent and try out, but Birds of Steel is the only one that I plan on buying straight away.

Still patiently waiting for Birds of Steel....

All aircraft shown on the BoS site are identical to the ones shown on the World of planes site. So here is the the Australian DAP Beaufighter mk.21 you can expect to be anounced soon on the BoS site ;) Can't wait to try out this birds firepower, Four 20mm cannons and four .50 machine guns (plus a pea shooter out the back lol). Japan Bettys beware!

I wonder if this one got shot down with a loss of the crew to ;)

Feels a bit daunting flying a plane you know was shot down with loss of life!!

About that Foz, I'm pretty sure for multiplayer/training you can make your plane into whatever particular plane in history you want. Thats why there are no markings on the basic plane skins. I'm guessing the previous pic of the lanc is from a single mission? thats why it has markings?

Here is the Lanc skin without markings.
