On a positive note, there didn't seem to be any Launcher crashes after changing settings in video options

[QUOTE=Buchon;279672]What version you have, Russian or European ?

You should download the patch assigned to your version.

To repair the game click on it in Steam and go to properties, then click local files.

Now click Verify the integrity of cache, Steam will revert all changes.[/QUOTE

i downloaded from just flight so, european version....

i just ended up uninstalling and reinstalling have about 73% left to install, because verfiying the intergrity thru steam did nothing , so idk...

im at a loss to be honest.... i pasted all files into il-2 cliffs of dover file , and would no longer start up game...

okay so umm... cant see that steam is automatically downloading patch, and i have it set to...

so i downloaded it from megaupload site, saved to desktop... do i just copy the downloaded file and paste it into steam/steamapps/common/il2cliffs of dover file

and then good to go ??

Steam will only upgrade the game to the latest release version. The beta patch requires a manual download and install as you have found out.

Once it is stable it will be put on steam as an automatic download.

Cheers!

Initially OK, but experienced screen freezes after a few minutes into some missions that were perfectly Ok with the previous beta patch. Had to lower settings to prevent freezing - rolled back to last Beta and Ok again with higher settings. Beta's applied over official update and cache cleared.

Performance gain is considerable for crossfire, at least for me and its only using 50%-60% of each of my 4 GPUs so clearly more optimisation to come.

I get avg 40FPS and 80FPS max in BlackDeath with single card and avg 74FPS and 176FPS max with crossfire. I call that significant. This is only in single player though.

Multi players is stuffed and worse than a couple patches ago with only 24FPS max and avg 19FPS.

Wow, thats excellent.. a lot of people are not having Xfire work for them.. could you post your settings, include the conf.ini settings, your ATI specific settings, driver versions etc.

Hopefully everyone can use yours to get their setup working..

didnt know that thanks, i appreciate the replies...

there were between 70 and 80 files i put in the file il2 cliffs of dover, which caused a launcher crash....

still dont know what i did wrong ... i seemed to do what was told... maybe somebody could make a youtube video of installing a beta patch, thatd be awsome!

i was thinking since i bought from firstflight and then put it into steam to download and that technically its not released in US that steam wouldnt install patches until US release.
