I know what you mean. I bought my copy in a pretty big HMV in the middle of London and had to root for it amongst the stuff that's been out for ages (360 copy). They did have the PS3 version out in the 'new releases' section though. I guess it's a kind of chicken and egg thing. The smaller devs/publishers can't afford/don't have the clout, the retail space deals. As a result, there isn't much passing trade and the title doesn't sell well. I guess time will tell. Jeeez, sell, well, will and tell all in the space of 7 words! lol

Well, looked around my whole town here in Sweden. Didn't manage to find a copy. Talked to one store that said they didn't have a deal with the distributor in Sweden, and that it would be in in about 2-3 weeks. However I already preordered it from a swedish webshop, and they shipped my game today, so I will be able to play on monday (no delivery of mail on saturdays in sweden :( ). Called the webshop and apparently they got the game delivered today, so at least they shipped it as fast as they could.

Just been into Tesco and there it is sat there waiting to be purchased. £29.99. Nice. Impulse buy FTW.

mine arrived this morning, i've completed all the training missions and the battle of britian, but i'm on the stalingrad campaign and that pissy little plane is hard to use, it handles well, but i can not for the life of me see anything through the glass sight/'windscreen', i can see through the top half but when ever a plane comes in to the bottom half it becomes incredibly hard to spot, it's really annoying as it's making it impossible to play the mission :(.

edit: i'm playing on simulator and i refuse to not use the cockpit mode

yep i feel your pain, over at zavvi mine is the same. I think is because the lazy ******* pricks over at royal mail have gone on strike. Excuse my language but i am seriously outraged. I've NEVER had problems with pre-orders before. :(

Hello people... first post, shame its under such circumstances!
Anyway, I also ordered mine from Zavvi, and I'm having the same problem. I actually tried to cancel the order so I could go hunting in the shops for the game tomorrow, but the bastards wouldn't let me cancel it!!
Anyway, I'm hoping that it will get sent out today, but was wondering if anybody knows whether they use 1st or 2nd class postage? The delivery estimate is 3-5 days, so it seems like 2nd class, but most other internet distributors use 1st so I'm a bit confused. Any ideas?

As far as I know, it isn't a national Postal strike, only certain regions... of course, it's sod's law that wherever Zavvi have their distribution centre will be on strike.....
With any luck it might turn up tomorrow or Monday, if they use 1st Class.
Guess I'm just going to have get drunk for 2 days straight... Time always passes quicker when your pissed!

Just been reading up on the strike, and apparently it may become a full on national strike next week. I'm thinking that if the game isn't sent out tonight, then there's a good chance it might not get delivered till after the next strike, whenever that may be.

hey the strike isnt on yet! me and my dad rang them up and they said that they aim to DISPATCH the order on the RELEASE day. I will never be ordering from them again!

In that case, i'll give them till tomorrow to dispatch it, and I don't have a confirmation email by then, I'll get off my arse and go and find it in the shops and get a refund from zavvi.
And I'll also never order from them again. Should have stuck with Amazon.

I called Play.com as soon as I got home, I can't beleive those twats have got a customer service centre in f****ing Hydrabad !!! told me they would have to email their warehouse in offshore UK for an update, and no explanation as to why the order status is still showing as packing, just remember
folks cut price games= non existant customer service= no repeat orders!!!!

I got mine today with my t-shirt. Not a lot of people online on the ps3 but seeing as it is supposed to come out the 8th i'm not worried. The sp will keep me busy for hours, so much to do.

Well I got home hoping to find a delivery note and go and pick it up from the Royal Mail Depot, but there was nothing.

So, off to Sainsbury's. Loads of copies but they wanted £40 and I wasn't paying that. Blockbuster and Tesco didn't have any at all, so I ended up at Game. It was £35 but I had loads of reward points to use up so it cost me £30.

The one I have ordered will be sent back when it eventually arrives.

I just don't get it? Why go so far as to buy another copy and then have to take the trouble to send the unused copy back when it finaly gets mailed to you? All for the sake of what? two days?? I guess my brain just doesn't work like that so I can't understand it. When I saw this evening that my copy from play.com wasn't waiting for me when I got home I thought "Oh well, maybe it will arive tomorrow and I will be able to play it during the day" And if it doesn't, then I will think "Hmmmmm, ok nevermind plenty of other things I can do, I bet it arives Monday so I can play it when I get home" Nothing could get me angry like most of you, about something so insignificant. And don't think that I'm not looking forward to this game as much, because I am. But I've waited this long, one or two days more means nothing.

I was hoping to get this game around the 2nd, since Gamestop had that for the NA release date, but apparently Canada is not part of NA, since I was told while at Gamestop:

Well, my copy still didn't turn up in the post, so if I hadn't bought a second copy from the shops then I wouldn't have been able to play all weekend, and I don't get that much time to play during the week. Especially at the moment as I'm getting married in 2 weeks and there's loads to do!

I know it'll cost me extra in postage to send it back, but I can do it from work, so it's not really much hassle.

lucky for me, i only go to school from 9-3 so i have all afternoon to play my preordered copy from shitty zavvi when it arrives. Hopefully on monday as it was dispatched Yesterday (the release day!) i thought a preorder was so u got it on the release day tho lol!
