How long it took you to finish the game?

About 7-8 hours.
Someone finish it faster.
But it not the simple shooter to just run forward and shoot all the monsters.
Main part of the game is the story. You need to travel in the past of many crew members, and fix their actions in the past to fix the present. Sometimes you need to repeat the same moment many times to understand how to set things right.

You finished it in only 7 hours??? Is it so small?? What happend in the end of the game? Will there be a sequel in the future?

7 hours is pretty normal in a game, Crysis, F.E.A.R., Condemned and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. can you easily finnish in 6-7 hours. ( but S.T.A.L.K.E.R. can take 30 hours too)

And I think it´s pretty early to say if there will be any sequels.

And there is no sequel possible for this story.
And actually AF doesn't make sequel for their shooters.

OMG,OMG,OMG, I tried Cryostasis today :) :D Fantastic!

It looks great, I played it for an hour and I took 153 screenshots, now you understand how beautiful it is!

It runs pretty well, 20-25 (sometimes up to 40) fps, but underwater only 15 fps with all maxed, 16 AF and AA ON in 1920x1200 ;)

Some news about patch.
First one will be just bug fix patch.
The new render will be in next one, and it will be relised about 2-3 weeks later.

So the game is only out in Russian right now? Even though I don't know Russian at all, the language is cool.

Cryostasis is the BEST GAME EVER!!! Have played it from level 3 to 6 today, it´s so fantastic :)
Mental Echo, frozen mutants, weapons, really fun fights, scary atmosphere where you never can feel safe, the best engine ever - the things that makes the game a winner.

The only "bad" things are a few bugs, but I don´t care about bugs in games as long as they don´t make it unplayable.

That's probably accurate, I've seen that date elsewhere. Thing is, I don't want to wait 2 FREAKING MONTHS to play an already released game. I DEMAND a translation patch :evil:

I built my computer specifically to run this game. I didn't even do that for BioShock. Let's just hope I got enough good stuff. I don't need the max settings to enjoy the game, but I want to at least see them halfway up there.

Also, I don't demand an English patch, but I would like some info on a US demo release or if there's a Russian demo a link to that as I really want to try the game out, even if I don't understand the story.

Yeah game is awesome, runs smooth here all max settings at 1680 x 1050 - as SwedKnot said, its a winner.

But it probably runs a bit smoother for you, you have OC GTX280 and better CPU and lower resolution. For me it gets like 5 fps when using PPSH against an enemy sometimes :P

Cant wait for the new GTX 295, this gonna be a Cryostasis killer card haha, ill keep my GTX 280 only for PhysX and upgrade to a 24".

How many fps do you get in 1280x1024 max settings?? And the game dosent work for me yet, i clean the registry with TuneUp Utilities 2009 and fixed all the windows errors but the game dosent work.... I dont know what the problem???

I don´t know if I get so much better, there is not much difference in Crysis if I play in 848x480 or 1920x1200. The newest graphic cards don´t get so much lower fps in higher resolution.

Of course you can play on highest, but I don´t know with which framerate, if you don´t have AA or AF then I think it should be able to it, but I´m no expert.
But I know that it depends on which framerate you want to have in a game, I think Cryosatsis works well for me in 20 fps (because of the motion blur, it donesn´t get so dizzy for your eyes), but that´s much from person to person, but they often say that you should have at least 30 fps when you´re playing a game ( Then I fail :P )

But you had tried the game, right? Or does it crash so much that you don´t have a chance to see if it works good?

You are absolutely right. In addition can have an impact on sales of the game, if at all this torrent with the patch in English two months before the launch in the West. Although it is also interesting that people know the game in the West before launch.

I am going to format.... I get this stupid ntdll error all the time.... I try to fix the registry with TuneUp Utilities 2009 ( i read somewhere that ntdll.errors are caused by registry errors..) but it didnt fix the problem..... Then i try with some others tools but TuneUp Utilities 2009 is the only freeware....... In a few days i will go again the computer to the shop to format it... I try to delete the ntddll..file but it dosent let me to access it... Then i renamed so windows dont recognize it:grin: but in 1 minute it got back to it original name!! Then renamed it again and this renamed itself again ntdll.dll...:evil: I was realy angry ... How can i fix this stupid error ??? All these days i am trying to find a solution to fix it without format but without sucess!!!:evil: So it seems the only solution is format???? Does anyone else here gets this error????

Well, just do it.
Windows instalation programm, can replase only windows data during instalation, or install second windows copy to second HDD.
Reinstall with formating will be better, but it still work.
Or finally find someone with enough experience to do something like this.
Don't forget to backup your personal data before you start to do this.

English voices would be terrible.

Don't know... for me, having subtitles keep popping up is an immersion killer. If accents are dubbed properly it works for me.

Oh my god :( I missed a graphic effect :eek: I must play through the game again with it on :)

Looks as if i'll be missing out on this game. :( The tech demo ran at like 4 fps on the lowest res and visual settings on my system.

I've been looking foward to this game for a couple of years already and hurts to see it fail on my system. :( Hopefully for those of you who will be playing it WILL enjoy it. :)

I am playing it on 1024x768 high settings water on caustic on without FSAA AF and motion blur, and still get descent fps!!!:):) I will try it on 1280x1024 max settings with FSAA and 16X AF to see how much fps i will get!:):) Hope i get more than 4 fps!!

But why do you play without motion blur? I could never have played through the game if there wasn´t motion blur, it makes the game look smother and I don´t think it makes any difference in performance.

With 15-20 fps it´s terrible to play a game if it hasn´t motion blur, I think.

For example, the spanish version has all voices in spanish, but not is possible put the voice in russian and sutitles in other lenguage

The traslation is better than the translations of the fans :grin: , is a good localization .

I didn't find Cryostasis on any websites or stores(not even for pre-order)so i wrote a letter and they replied that the game will ship sometime in march.I'm from Hungary so i think Europe won't get it on the 27th.
