@P-51

No i'm not a pilot. I'm not even a qualified driver at 36 =) Nor am i a space marine or a general leading some army to victory.

I am however a gamer and someone who likes to read about history. Since history and gaming come together in such a nice way for me at realistic difficulty I'm more than happy to part with some cash and enjoy this game.. If that makes me some lower lifeform NonPilot in your book, so be it.

Now going home and download the PS3 demo and decide if i'll get the 360 or the ps3 version.

I love Sim mode because it gives you more control, e.g. flaps and trim BUT I have the same issue as a few people of having an SDTV, it is seriously hard to find fighters on my set! I reckon I'll play Sim as much as I can and switch to Realistic when I'm not able to find anything! Eventually I'll get a nice HDTV and then it'll be Sim all the way!!

Don`t worry, I`m six feet away from a 32in panasonic viera and I still can`t see `em

Dude, im 1/2 feet away from my 40" Samsung and can see them!
LOL!

zing!

On topic though - think i'll play most of the campaign on sim, but can see myself switching to realistic on ground attack missions as i find it almost impossible to find/hit the ground targets :mad:

Sorry I was a bit tart in my earlier post. But face to face, or half a world apart, there is no need for a disrespectfull comment like yours. All he said was that he preferrs a certin mode. Nothing wrong with that.

It's cool you have been up in the co-pilots seat. I wish I could say the same. It just is'nt in the cards for me i'm afraid.

And yep, I have a 360.

I'm not sure whether I'll do realistic or sim for the campaign, but I'm gonna start the MP on sim difficulty. If you pros kick my ass I'll go back to realistic!;-)

I've found sim the most fun primarily due to the challenge though I wish the freelook was better implemented for the PS3 controller. Holding down R3 has always been a pain. The only other option I've found is using the D-pad and while it's better, it's not as comfortable as something like holding down L1 while using R-stick.

Great demo btw.

Too bad we even need a reminder.

I'm going to try my luck at Sim. I fly RC planes and have always wanted to stick a camera on one and fly by wire. Now I'll be able to do that and not lose hundreds of buck when I get shot down...! (hoping I'll eventually be the one doing the shooting down, but probably not for a while against some of you vets)
