OK here is what I am doing....A fresh install to C:\Ubisoft\IL2 Stumovik 1946....not going into program files....
Run the game, Then I dropped the IL2_4111_Ultra into the 1946 folder. Extracted and ran the program while it was in that folder. It has failed to boot again.

I will try it again (fresh install) with a new download to be sure it is not corrupt. (I did DL it twice) if that fails, I will try it with the ultra file outside of that 1946 folder. (in the ubisoft folder)

Here is an interesting...thought....

When removed the disc (DVD) it wont open the game, "Please insert disc" Appears, which never happened before, I played for years without the disc..this is a new disc I got on amazon. Could this be the problem? It looks for the disc but maybe the discs instruction is written only for 4.07 and 4.08??? :evil:

Check your game path Make sure your short cut goes to the IL2 game folder. I only suggest this as I have seen it with Steam Downloads
If You move the game folder the default Icon wont work
And when extracting the patch You will need to designate the correct path "C:\Ubisoft\IL2 Stumovik 1946"
Also did you get all the parts to the Mega Patch?

???Looking at your folder in the thumb nail it seems your missing a few files

he he... I was wondering if someone was going to catch that...

No... I was deleting the bad install when I answered that post. Those are the files left over after an uninstall. I have to go back after every uninstall and manually clean out the rest.

The path is correct, I checked it....I am totally stumped, I have not flown for a week now....starting to shake......

What about Track IR and my Logitech Joystick, rudder pedals and throttle....could that stuff be interfering?
