Gamer type air combat simulators won't satisfy our il2 and COD users..

Major considerations - realistic Flight and damage modeling, competent AI, programmable mission builder tool are just some of the basic critical requirements.

I suspect none of the above are properly applied in this game.

But you can probably use your console and console controller to play it, which will be attractive to some users.

Yes, it has nice graphics and the water looks excellent.

Everyone's got to start somewhere and if we can get console gamers interested in WW2 aviation, it could bring 'new blood' into the full simulation arena?

ive played War Thunder: World of Planes beta and i can say most definately that this game is super super arcade fly by mouse controls pay to win, sub par graphics, sub par sound and shouldnt even be on anyones radar who frequents the simulation genre of games...

As a matter of fact it so happens that some virtual pilots exceed above others with the rising of difficulty (realism) factor.

Well, there's only one thing for sure here, whoever you are. You are either breaking your NDA by blurting out these comments here, or you haven't played the Beta.
The thing that's for sure is that you should not be trusted.

LOL, I would'nt be bragin on CLOD especially for competent AI, it's the worst I've ever seen in a flight sim. How does yours work for you?:-P

Much better now... :D

If you'd like to experiment with the AI in CloD there are ways of making the AI planes behave better, but it's not perfect yet. Feel free to experiment with the skill values and post the results and I will incorporate it into the next version of the AI utility.

I like Gaijin games too (I own WoP and Apache), but I suspect Nearmiss' assessment was not that far off of the truth...

Still waiting on the promised mission builder for WoP. ;)

You might be surprised... http://warthunder.com/en/game/features

Now maybe its not at the level of DCS or IL2 sims, but it certainly not as bad as you might think... alot of interesting features, some not listed here yet...
