1) Offline: radio comms, AI not crashing, attacking targets and not avoiding battle.

2) Online: working coop (like in old good IL-2)

3) Sample of online add-in to allow MP server programming.

Luthier mentioned in the recent Q&A discussion that there was no much time left for gemeplay issues because of priority of engine and technical problems. If there is only one final step left for CLOD, it has to be gameplay at last.

If there is no gameplay, there is no game. If there is no game, there is no 1C:MG studio by 2014.

I second this motion. It was the online wars that made Forgotten Battles and its add-ons great. (Air Domination war, Airforce War, CAD, IL-2 war etc.) The dogfights are a good way of training air combat, but not so much fun like those wars with many different kinds of missions.

Type of improvement: Plane unit ID in player roster

Explanation of proposals: The player roster in online game doesn't show the plane unit id from other players.

Benefits: Like we had before in Il-2 FB/PF/46 it would be very useful to see not only the name, ping, plane type but also the plane's unit to identify other planes while flying beside them or spawning.

Type of improvement: Fix in-game track recorder and .avi maker.

Explanation of proposals: Please revert back to the original IL2 track recorder so that after a mission you had the chance to save the track (or not). The current version means if you forget to start recording, you have nothing to view after the action. The thing is, how do you know it's worth saving the track until after the fight is over? So to restore the option of the track recorder starting automatically and then you choose to save it after the mission is much more practical?

Also once footage has been recorded, by loading the in-game .avi maker it allows more users to upload their footage and videos to the internet. Currently I haven't found any way to get the in-game .avi maker to render anything I can use!

Benefits: Videos gather viewers and interest non-players who may just buy the game after seeing the quality they will get. More, viewers, more potential customers?

Type of improvement: Photo Mode

Explanation of proposals:

http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/14689

Would allow users greater control of creating 'amazing' images using the Graphics engine of CloD (or BoM), meaning that more people (potential customers) could actually see some brilliant images made with with the software.
Controls such as Depth of Field, Wide/tele lenses, saturation, blur, shutter speed and may also be possible to be incorporated into a video mode? So set camera and effects up and then run the game and record footage?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhMmuWSQqEA

Benefits: Hugely entertaining, lots of possibilities of free publicity, makes it easy for novices without vast amounts of money for software to create and share images with online forums and communities, FREE ADVERTISING = SALES!!!!!

Type of improvement: being able to assign our own choice of 3 different FoV settings to the keyboard keys, and not be limited to the default 3 pre-assigned values currently enforced in CoD

Explanation of proposals:
- in il2-1946 series we could assign our own FoV setting for zoom, "normal" and wide views. this is needed because the "normal" view is different for each player, depending on the size of their monitor and how far they sit from it.
- the current "normal" FoV setting is 70 FoV, but this is a correct field of view ONLY for people why have a32' monitor that they sit at arms length from. forcing all other people to use 70 FoV as "normal" (since we cant edit it) on a smaller then 32' monitor (for ex if they use a 22' or 24') will mean that all CoD in-game objects seen on the monitor will shrink and look much smaller then they would in real life under the same situation, and it therefore distorts the sensation of speed and the perception of distance. if you have a 27' lcd for ex, the "normal" setting should be close to 55 FoV, which is currently not possible to assign to that key in CoD (but was possible to do in the previous il2 series). similarly if you have a 20' monitor, your "normal" view will correspond to about 40 FoV.

Benefits: being able to SIMULATE more accurately what a pilot sees from his cockpit when flying around in the "SoW world" and improve realism

note: this should be easy to fix and not take much programing time, and will give major benefits if CoD intends to be a SIMULATOR for ww2 aviation experience

+1 (and a whole lot more)

And for the pedantic posters:

Type of improvement: As above. Clear and simple.

Explanation of proposals: They do not currently represent the aircraft of the period

Benefits: Makes CoD do what it says on the DVD-ROM box - "...ENTER THE MOST HISTORICALY ACCURATE COMBAT FLIGHT SIMULATOR EVER".
