Although I'm pleased to have this aircraft in the sim, I would have thought that other twin engined aircraft such as the Hampden and Whitley would have taken priority. Someday soon, I hope:)

Also, RAF aircrew never wore flat-hats (peaked caps) in flight. They ALWAYS wore leather flight helmets. The pilot passenger in this Anson is wearing a flat cap:rolleyes: And he bales out in his cap and without a parachute... What a brave chap!

( Please Note. Developers-this is not a priority bug ).

Anyway, the damage modeling for the Avro Anson is rather good in my opinion.

Dover Hotel and Pub'

I made a forced landing in Dover alongside a hotel. This was known as The Curchill Hotel and I stayed there a couple of years ago.

But I don't remember The Swan pub;) which can be seen next to my parked Hurri.

Need to land as soon as possible...

Pour la petite histoire;

Le 23 September 1941, au retour d'une mission sur la base navale soviétique de Kronstadt, Steen effectua un Fliegerdenkmal avec son appareil

shouldnt it be the other way around ? eg, plane breaks pegs :)

MG needs to adjust the peg DM it seems, might just be a small numerical value that has to be changed for that object.

Yep.... Its the return of an earlier IL2 Classic bug where the pegged out panel markers destroyed aeroplanes. It was corrected in IL2 Classic.

Yup. One of the first things I noticed after game release, was the way London looked like some post apocalyptic sci-fi scenario when I got up close.

I half expected Charlton Heston to appear with a large armed gorilla in pursuit.;)

MB_Avro_UK 08-20-2012 01:24 PM

Lawn-Mower.

There is a British 'Hercules' lawn mower in the 'Objects List' which I may use to deal with this long grass.

But to be fair, there is also a German 'Wassersteinflug' lawn mower in the list.

I have conducted some 'field' tests and it seem that the British lawn mower has tighter cornering but the German version is slightly faster at grass roots level and it doesn't cut-out over the dips.

I shall keep you all informed....

Best Regards,
MB_Avro.

Just a short comment about the last picture: First I thought it is from EAW , no kidding :-)

A compliment indeed to European Air war. Wasn't it released in about 1998??

Nice shots, shows how the fire spreads.

I recall when I first saw the fire spreading along the wing of a 109, unfortunately it was my own wing... :|

Luckily I dived and blew it out.

Of course the spit behind wasn't about to let that stop him...

The second after taking that shot my pilot was killed...

Absolutely true.
Brings back my memories about these days.
Started my " combatpilot-career" :-) with "Airwar", went over to " CFS1", then "Fighter Squadron " and " EAW" , had a short time with CFS2 and then the king of the kings showed up: " IL2 ".
Still my favorite flightsimulator, because my Computer can´t handle CoD with all the beauty. Lack of power.

Super new to COD and clueless.

Guys sorry but I couldn't find where to start my own thread. I just bought COD today but I'm clueless as to how to download the patches or did they already come with my download. Also when I tried to fly a plane, I had no control of the stick like the game didn't recognize it. This looks like it can be fun but then again it looks very difficult to get up and running without a manual. Please help.

JG52Krupi 08-24-2012 12:07 AM

Welcome.

The thread below contains the latest beta patch, I recommend you download it.

Just shows how much potential this simulation has.

Glorious pics, Rodolphe! The gleaming plexiglass in the wintered 111 gives a vital and definitive touch of reality to a rather flat, colours and shades wise [inherent to shots in cloudy days] image.

It looks like you got some framing twitch ;) from your experience as an amateur or pro photographer perhaps?

Love the 109s' panoramic framing BTW.

Although half the stuff still doesn't work properly ,CloD really is a adictive game due to its immersion,as these last screenshots prove.May I ask if these are from any particular mission or campaign or did you set them up in FMB?

MB_Avro_UK 08-27-2012 05:40 PM

It varies. In the example above, I've used a stock mission. But the possibilities are almost endless when you use the Full Mission Builder.

I like to experiment with different camera positions and time of day.
