In this day in age , release dates are obsolete with digital downloads at the forefront. People who wanted this legitimately would have already downloaded it already or are waiting for better reviews on everything. It already has bad press , a US release wont change anything.

Completely off topic, but I was on a beach when a guy caught a baby shark about that size and was show boating by holding it just like you have it to show off to some girls.. shark comes to life and curls into him biting him in the thigh right next to his groin :)

Didn't really draw any blood but scared the crap out of him and was great entertainment for the girls

I don't recall Luthier making any promise on another patch.

I don't recall Friday being important for updates anymore, since OM is gone.

USA release is still July 19 AFAIK.

Maybe there is a patch after the most recent patch we received, which has been included in the USA release.

If... that is the case I'd say we can expect another patch release here as well, probably coincide with the USA release.

So there you go, a reason to be encouraged.

He only said he'd 'try'

jimbop 07-16-2011 04:05 AM

Of course, but it explains why people are still interested on Fridays, that's all.

... value of human life ?

Humans are like locusts, they appear in masses and destroy everything on their way. They come to a territory, occupy and exploit it until there is nothing left for other lifeforms.
They need no protection, they are like a virus that causes diseases.
What needs protection is the planet, protection from a disease called mankind.
By the way, a capitalist rule says, the cheapest product is the one that is available in abundance. Seen from this point of view, life of man is the cheapest form of life on earth.

that`s logically consitant,...

... seen from an objective point of view you are right, I`m not worth much more than you or anyone else and we are both rather part of the problem than of the solution and we both are expendable.
But there is one thing called "instinct of preservation" that every lifeform has and because of that, my life to me is the most precious form of life on earth and I would do anything to protect it. That has nothing to do with rationalism, it rather has to do with instinct. Dont forget, besides beeing "the crown of creation", (what we like to call ourselves), we are all nothing but animals.

bongodriver 07-16-2011 09:04 AM

so what you are saying is we should all kill each other.....

robtek 07-16-2011 09:13 AM

Of course, that happens from time to time and is called war.
Thats nature protecting itself by creating people like Stalin, Hitler or Mao.
They exterminate a part of the "problem", politics is only our explanation for it.
And as everybody can see, nature gets better and better during the centuries to reach its target.
A small population of humans living in harmony with the rest of the creation.

Seriously. :D

.... no, we should all change our attitude, our way of thinking.

Due to the fact that man has such a big brain and therefore is capable of very complex thinking, he should also realise his position among the lifeforms of this planet. He should be in charge to protect the planet but as most of us are still living with the hunters instincts of the stoneage (I`m not excluding myself, that is also a reason why we like this game), we rather destroy everything instead of protecting it.

If we dont want to continue to evolve, nature is going to take care of it and wipe out the problem with a big comet ore something as desastrous as that.
Dont worry, life will continue - just without us !
;)

bongodriver 07-16-2011 09:27 AM

so what we need is an organization of sorts that will try to influence our thinking and make us all think alike.....sounds brilliant why hasn't this been done before.

no, forced brainwashing will not solve the problem. We need no robots.
If you are forced to think differently, it is not really you. You have to be convinced by yourself that a change of attitude is necessary, only then you can also convince others.
:)

PS: by the way, the brainwashing by organisations is already possible and also done but not for the good of the planet.

bongodriver 07-16-2011 09:45 AM

Yeah exactly....we need an individual on a higher plain of enlightenment....a messiah if you like who will influence a small group who will in turn spread the message of enlightenment to the masses......genious.

bongodriver 07-16-2011 10:16 AM

That link was perfect....now whe have a text from which to recite the 'message' from, even better it plays on the insecurities of the human mind like paranoia and fear of our own mortality, that is sure to make the masses come in droves to heed the 'word'.

ATAG_Dutch 07-16-2011 11:25 AM

Gaia will have her revenge. You mark my words.

Thee_oddball 07-16-2011 05:10 PM

our technological level has out paced our wisdom...we have the tech now to live with out polluting or destroying the planet...but we are still to much the caveman.

the world is fragmented with archaic fear and ritual based philosophies :( hopefully there will be a single unifying philosophy that is based in logic and reason that will get us to live with each other and the planet :)

You people always make me laugh, do you have any idea what you are talking about? Quite frankly you sound like the insane priest in Jeff Waynes War Of The Worlds!

Your heroic seashepard's that roam the ocean looking for the human scum to harpoon? LOL

Did it not occur to you that the ship they do it in will burn more diesel in one voyage than the average family car in a month and throws out more pollution than that family and its cars combined.

I'm all for protection of animals mate, but dumb logic about destroying all humans, that we are a disease, that life is cheap and worth nothing compared to that pretty fish or whale, Is that whale gonna save your butt when your ship sinks?
No a human being in a sky polluting helicopter will, and he/she will take you to a hospital where other parasitic vermin known as doctors will use technology and their skill to save your hypothermic body.
Or how about if your house was on fire, and the fire service can to save you up at your window, took your dog but pushed you back inside instead?

Dont be such a plonker, the whole reason why life is regarded as cheap in this world is because ignorant people say so.

Jesus, wether you believe in his as the son of god, a prophet or just a really good human, said the oceans are there to be fished, at one point in history fishing was the only way to generate food.

If companies take the micheal and over fish then the government that you have voted in does the right thing by pressure of the public to slow it down.

You want to be a real hero go save a life, a human one! because my friend nature is crueler and any human could ever be.

People like you harrass me every time i go into town, "sponser a puppy...save a panda...." on and on always trying to shame people into giving money to their organization so they can give only 10% to the real cause.

Pluto 07-16-2011 06:17 PM

... thanks for all your answers, positive and negative ones.
It doesent matter if you are pro or contra. What matters is that you think about it!
:-P

bongodriver 07-16-2011 06:29 PM

I might add whale tastes delicious, particularily with a sweet onion relish.

BigPickle 07-16-2011 06:35 PM

bongodriver 07-16-2011 06:58 PM
