A game using crossfire

OK.

I've posted this over at the ATAG Server forum. Perhaps someone here or over there can check if Crossfire or SLI works with the 1.09 beta after first starting, then exiting another such game first.

Good find, Tony! What is the previous game, or does it matter? I'm not suggesting that everyone with Crossfire/SLI run out and buy another game just to get their systems working, but sometimes a discovery like yours can lead to an easy fix by the devs, especially if your work around can be reproduced by other players on THEIR systems.

Not on mine, thanks for the suggestion though.

SLI worked well on my rig before this patch, the performance is still good on a single GPU but I don't like running one GPU hot while another idles. With SLI I was getting 50 to 60c with about the same usage. Now one core runs at 80c, which is safe but hotter than I would like.

Septic.

Well, that's why I asked TonyR "which game(s)" -- perhaps there's something in the specific titles that positively affects the SLI/Crossfire configuation in CoD while orther titles don't. Why might this be? Don't know, just "empirically-speaking".

I don't run SLI/Crossfire, but I hope a solution is found for those of you who do.

Seems like the SLI poll has been disregarded. :(

Serious Sam: second encounter - The Ball

Just shows how good their in-house testing is. This is a real problem for users of Sli/Crossfire. If this is supposed to be a testing phase for us to find the final bugs, good try guys. 2/10 marks, and I think that's generous.

Thanks, TonyR!

UG!! this quite ironic as I'm currently playing a 2006 game that has SLI running perfectly ..

.

Tony R,

You say that you have it running ok now if you go and start a game that uses Crossfire prior to C.o.D., are both your cards running evenly or is one on idle??. In other words are both cards being used or is your system self adjusted to disable Crossfire for C.o.d.??

It certainly doesn't work that way for Sli.

Crossfire is fine, as far as I can tell SLI is the only one affected... But they did say the patch was going to be reviewed by nvidia or something like that..

EDIT...

2) Will the next patch be fully NVidia certified, and will it have Crossfire support?
NVidia – definitely. CF – still TBD.
