For performance... well I have a setup similar to you except for a faster video card (before I had a 260gtx) and I have solid 60+ FPS down low over land... so you should do fine.

With my previous card it held over 30 fps....

Sorry about all the fighting/aggression on the boards at the moment. Be patient with certain members. Be patient with the developers. Be patient waiting for patches. One day, hopefully soon, everyone will be much more content and actually start discussing and debating like normal people.

Good to hear. I am not up to snuff on the ATI cards at this time, switched over to Nvidia several years ago and have remained with them to date.
While I currently have a GTX 460 1gb card in my system now, I just received and sitting on my desk next to me, is a new GTX 560 Ti 2gb video card.
Have been meaning to upgrade to the 500 series, figure now good as time as any. Probably won't get to put it in for couple of days or so though, recovering from some pretty major back surgery.

I am just a flight simmer that loves the sport and enjoys sharing with others on dedicated forums for this great hobby, both things I may have learned- obviously in this sim I am a long way from that part - and things others can help with.

I can easily look over the " noise" , was just a little surprised by how much I saw going on here upon arriving. That was one main reason I wanted to make sure I posted in the appropriate forums, to get the best exposure and maybe some good feedback amist the turmoil so to speak :)

I am one that will pretty much always choose to stay out of the " noise", just not my cup of tea. At least you guys have a forum here, where there is some feedback from the developers - maybe not as much as some would like - but there are many developers these days, that choose to not participate any longer, in any forum. Quite a stretch from how it used to be in the old days, when so many big name developers were very active , both in forums and in newsgroups.
