Wow, was it that recently? Seems like a lifetime ago, but that could have been warbirds, or air warrior II. I didn't mind aces high 2 the whole capture the field concept was great.

I loved base raping with 30+ panzers. You see the poor guys spawning some spit 30 meters away, only to be greated with a salvo of 75mm shells, from 4-5 tanks. :P

I was playing until about 2006.

Why is that sad?? i have way more fun with offline then online. So no more waiting all are ready, no swearing, no noobs, no crashes, no tk's etc. so i don't see why that''s sad :) Besides that i travel a lot for work so i usualy have crappy internet anyway.

in aces high their is no TK....and hardly any swearing...i dont understand how some people are content to play with the mindless AI over real thinking human players who actually have variation in their tactics...

some of the plane models are old but they are continuously updating them to more modern standards they just updated the p40 series, while adding a new variant, (completely redoing the model to updated standard...the new planes are of a higher standard than the older ones....right now they are voting for new plane additions, and i think the me410 and the yak3? are the last two finalists...

it has a free trial so its at least worth trying out and if you are really smart like me im sure you can figure out the way to get unlimited free trial....

I remember playing these waaaay back when...lol

Aces High was fun in the it had vehicles and boats to play around with.
The most fun I had was cruising around in a PT boat and manning the 20 and 40mm guns shooting at planes as they flew by.
The best feature of this was manning a single gun and the other guns on the boat that could shoot at your aiming point also fired.

soon IL2 Cliffs of Dover will have all this in it.
