invisible prop blades is just wrong. if anyone thinks that looks real, just google plane taking off and watch the video. it doesn't look like that at all.
Why not just look at a real propeller? Videos are subject to FPS issues.

A propeller rotating at 2500-3000 rpm is practically invisible. That's why the tips of some were painted in order to allow them to stand out.

Ding ding ding! Winner!

Some people here have too much education from video and movies, not enough from real life.

Did you check to turn off epilepsy filter in the conf.ini?

Just add

EpilepsyFilter=0

below [BOB]

It brings back a bit of propeller and also a tiny but the reflexions in the dials. The prop seems fine to me. Could be a bit more visible and also the reflexions could be a bit stronger.

It is a while ago that I have been on an airshow but I do think one can see the prop disk but perhaps I remember wrong. The yellow tips were not everywhere implemented and probably just an additional security thing. Mh. thinking about it the fact that the tips were actually painted is a good indicator that the propdisk could have been seen at least at ground handling rpm. Otherwise it would have made no sense to paint them there as one could not have seen them ...

these are screenshots. there are no blades in the image. just a circle of pixels with slightly lighter shade than background. go ahead and live your yellow stripe invisibility fantasy. yes, I've been in a prop plane before. it got off the ground because it had blades on the prop instead of a halo.:-P

Everyone knows that spinning propellors have to look like this:

Unfortunately, it seems not a unique characteristic of our 1C, CoD forum mates - but all too common everywhere on the planet.

It's become an unreasonable expectation to require that people interact a great deal with the outside world.

S!

The best ones are those that send some link to a Youtube clip of a Spit taking off to prove their case ;) Sigh...

Well, this video proves beyond doubt you can see the prop/rotor, with no disk at all!

Convinced?
