They are both correct Olife, That is how the lettering on the opposite side of the plane is ment to be. Small W at the front and big E at the back. Same with the flash on the tail, red always to the front and blue to the back.

Some nice kites you have their!!! Mossie is a beast.

All mine (bar the above spit) are all corgi aviation planes. It's an expensive hobby but theirs some great planes.

Two hurricanes should be arriving Soon that have been on pre order!!

Right chaps...

I've decided that sometime soon i'm going to arrange the current collection into theatres of war.... for example -

Battle of Britain

Brian Lane Spitfire
Stanford Tuck Hurricane
Ian Gleed Hurricane
Douglas Bader Hurricane
Willie McKnight Hurricane
Bob Foster Hurricane
BF 110

Bomber Command
Guy Gibson Dambusters Lanc
S for Sugar Lanc (RAF museum Hendon)
Cyril Barton Halifax
De Havilland Mosquito (Amiens raid)

Pacific Theatre
Corsair (x2)
Mitchell Bomber
Zero fighter
P47 Thunderbolt
Hellcat (en route via ebay)

European Theatre
P51 (x3)
P38 Lightning
Supermarine Spitfire (Johnny Johnson,D-Day stripes)
Hawker Hurricane (D-Day stripes)
P47 Thunderbolt
...

If that makes any sense? I have pretty much every theatre covered but some more than others. I'm looking at purchasing one or two diecast a month. So Gents... they say knowledge is power, so if its not to much to ask i'd loveyour input or ideas..

What next? What planes would you have and why? or add to the collection.

Many thanks.

Seems like your P-38 might do better in the Pacific theatre, especially if you could paint it up like the planes that took part in operation vengeance. You could also do with a Bf-109E for the Battle of Britain, an FW-190 and an IL-2 for Russia, and an Me-163 Komet just because it's so totally bad assed

Cheers for the advice :D its much appreciated.

Since all the models are diecast and already painted (thank god, since i cannot paint or make models for the life of me) i can't change liveries.

The P38 comes with a buble noseand D-Day stripes, its based in England and used to lead P38 squadrons on bombing missions :)

I could always look into the purchase of a pacific one though because thats a theatre i do need to add to :)

As for everything else your spot on :)

For the Russian front so far ive got -

FW190
I-16

As for the Komet.....

bad ass? REALLY? ;) haha

Ha! I admit that it wasn't much use as a weapon, I just love the idea of a self launching glider that gets to altitude via rocket. Tell me that aint bad assed  I also just plain like anything designed by Alexander Lippisch.

Ok, so this one doesn't have a rocket motor. That just means job security for the tow pilot :P
