Did anyone try linking a 3dmark profile to Launcher somehow?
Drivers should be optimized for benchmark utilities like 3dmark pretty aggressively.

In ArmA you could rename arma.exe to 3dmark.exe and have a significant performance boost, x-fire working, etc.
Steam does not allow to rename Launcher.exe but there could be another way to load 3dmark profile.

ps. Where the above mentioned Lost Planet profile comes from? Is it built in this utility or should be downloaded from their site?

Come with the utility

Sounds promising. Going to give it a try when back from work.

Please share your results. I am thinking of adding a 2nd 4890 as a temporary solution till nextgen cards introduced later this year.

OT: How much you managed to OC your 4890s by the way?

Well I tried the Lost Planet profile and Call Of Durez DX10 profiles but got extream flickering on both.

Nice utility but I feel like I'm playing with fire.

I got an increase from avg FPS of 40 to 51 in the black death track...but unfortunately also got the extreme flickering for the entire track.

I think I'll wait for the official profiles to come out. I'm getting smooth FPS and image quality by mixing up the in game settings between medium and high.

Thanks Kankkis (and thanks roadczar), but I think I will follow Codex and wait for an official profile. At least we seem to have some evidence that an official profile will help.

My game is running quite well (when in Psueudo mode) as is, so I am happy enough to wait for further patches and an ATI/AMD profile for the time being

I am sure we will get a fully functioning full screen mode with proper xfire support in due course. :)
