Top Gun gets a lot of stick but for me the aerial sequences are some of the best ever filmed. I can watch it again and again for the camerawork. I think the F14s vs A4s "Yee Haw! Jester's Dead!" section is probably the highlight. Just awesome - especially on a big screen with the sound cranked up!

Watch any modern CGI-is-King movie and compare.

No, wait, there is no comparison.

Other than that, Dambusters for me. Goosebumps every time.

this is only american and uk movie but you ignore russian movie german movie and italian movie and japanese movie example.
in these films the story is always told by the Allies, and almost all are similar and monotonous, but it would be different if the story in the movies and 'was told by the axis.

Ther was also this fine movie with John Wayne in a Sabre and a russian female pilot in a T33 aka mig.
And the Bridges of Toko-ri
