Could the size of the CLOD map be done like that? maybe...maybe not, but i wish it could.

Quoted for truth!

If WOP can be classified as a sim then I can call myself a pilot because I wear a leather flight helmet and run around with my arms outstretched making engine noises... ;-)

noone said anything about the gameplay!! We are talking about the landscape! Most sims we play lack the blue shade the atmosphere provides... If u want Il2 1946 to look real for example you need to increase the blue spectrum in the graphics section of the video card...

Did anybody ever try to measure the actual speed of the aircraft by measuring the map of England, between two known points in WoP, and timing.

It always surprised me how fast one can go from London to Dover in that follow the little dot on the map game with fly in a green fuzzy fish bowl dogfight.

WoP is nice graphics engine technology demo, but that's all (Eternity Project). It is not easy to develop as realistic a flight simulator as possible. Also sim fans are already demanding nowadays.

Hi UberDemon. Good to see a post from you. This is Kanno from the old IL2 days. Hope to see a UQMG for Cliffs of Dover from you soon. The first one was great.

Howdy Kanno. Yes I will try to think how to come up with something totally new. UQMG is over 10 years old... I think it showed its age about a week after I first released it. I've been looking for an excuse to get off my lazy butt and perhaps learn a new language, such as C# as opposed to VB.

Well a delay is better of it works and is done right.

I'm a huge fan of measure twice, cut once.

Thanks for keeping us updated

LOL i'm a fan of that series, but only for the flight scenes, the plot and story could have been better done in regarding the social / political / war / cloning / slave points they were trying to get across (in comparison to ghost in the shells take on cybernetics and politics, right of people etc that was well done).
